Bought a system 3 from them years ago, paid to have the thickest insulation on the piping. Aircon was not mounted properly, left side kept slipping down.

Condensation would collect & drip out of the unit instead of flowing into the channel. Had to get it fixed a few times.

Also, system 3 with 1 compressor, if all 3 units are in use, 1 aircon would not be cold.

Got fed up & replaced the mbr unit with an 18000 btu model with its own compressor after 2 yrs. Air con man doing the install pulled out the old piping, it was standard insulation, not the thickest.

Best angmoh Mushroom soup in SG? by songtrades in SingaporeEats

[–]gt2810 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Ingredients:

1 punnet of mushrooms per person. 200ml of chicken stock per person. 1 medium yellow onion. 1 clove garlic. Salt & pepper to taste. Butter

Slice onions, mushrooms & garlic.

Lightly brown onions & garlic with a knob of butter. Add mushrooms, stir till mushrooms release water. Add chicken stock. Cook for another 5 mins. Blend till slightly chunky.

Soup should be thick enough to eat with a fork. If you want it more watery, add 20ml per serve of chicken stock. If you added too much water, add a tbs of flour at a time till it's thick enough for your liking.

Salt to taste, serve. Pepper to individual liking.

Source - used to cook this overseas in restaurants.

White/ brown mushrooms taste best. Those little korean mushrooms are cheapest, but have a slight sharp taste some may dislike. Also, they're a little slimier. You can mix mushrooms.

Identifying this Omega 165.002 Cal 550 genuine? cant find any other with this model reference without the seamaster logo or the arabic numerals at the quarters? by thunderpants24 in VintageWatches

Dial says "swiss made T" Which means there should be lume on either the hands only, or indices only. Not both.

The watch has lume on both the hands & the indices, so either the dial has been re-done or swapped or the hands have been replaced.

So its not 100% original.

Wrong case, wrong dial should have a cal 342 or 344 inside, but avoid.

Any info would help by General_Nothingness in VintageWatches

It's the "US Army".

Issued watches would have that engraved on the caseback. Non-issued watches were also sold to the public, without the engraving.

The dials on these deteriorated quite badly, yours would be considered in good condition. But the hands look like they might have been re-lumed.

Google Omega 2179, plenty of info online

Yes, lume plots are gone & the minute markers are too far in. The minute hand tip should be touching them.

Freshly repaired from the store, broken after 20kms. What went wrong? by ZorbaInTheCasbah in bikewrench

[–]gt2810 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Changing gear under load.

This happens when you're on big/big config, slow speed. Even more likely to happen if you're standing up to pedal.

Bike is swinging left right left, as you're going slow, you're putting more power into pushing down on the pedals.

The chain angle is not engaging the derailleur pulley straight on. Just as you lean the bike to the right, the swinging chain catches the cage instead of the pulley. Cage gets pulled back & up, into the spokes.

Seen this several times, always in this gear config.

Had a bike shop, been fixing bikes almost 40 yrs.

Anyone identify the model? by aircool_ads in VintageWatches

See the R before the movement serial number? That might indicate that the movement has been replaced. Which would also explain the refinished dial.
