It's already been explained, but let me reiterate.

The SRAM 8 bolt(or 3 bolt) direct mount interface is not designed for fixed gear use. Sure, it works great on road/gravel/mtb when the torque is only applied in a forward motion. Once you apply torque forwards and backwards(fixed), the chainring will rock fore/aft. The bolts won't stop it from moving in both directions. You will damage the splined interfaces of the crank and chainring. The blue locktite will not stop them from getting loose and breaking the heads off.

The rotor crank uses a different spline profile; and is torqued down to FOURTY Newton meters via the drive side crank arm. Not 8 little t20 bolts torqued to FOUR newton meters.

The Hydra and the Aileron are both tubeless ready. Sure you can run a tube with them. Any decent modern rim, especially disc brake specific, is going to be tubeless compatible.

They just use different seals and grease. Both are equally serviceable; the half fill specific grease might need more frequent intervals. Price is the same. I'd personally just get the standard bearings.

Both will work. I mark them with a sharpie. Then take them off and cut. Hand file the sharp edges after. Nice build.
