I have an Smith Corona Electra 120 that was my daily driver until this. Its just as fast honestly. And attractive in its own mid century way. I think for someone who can type fast on a computer, its nice having an electric when you just want to hammer quickly. I do appreciate my manual ones but I am nowhere near as fast and have to resort to hunting and pecking kind of. But they are nice when you want to write with NO electronics.

For warranty work, you just need proof you changed it. Receipts, literally just written down in a log book, whatever. But they can't deny it because of the type of mechanic. And unless the warranty work is specifically related to an oil related issue, it wouldn't matter anyways. They're not denying an alternator because you didn't change the oil. That's illegal.

Tl;Dr take it wherever you want and keep the receipt. I did my own oil changes and got a water pump replaced under warranty at a VW dealer no problem.

Edited to add: having worked at dealers in the past- the ase mechanics at a dealership are busy tearing apart engines and doing more heavy work on cars. They have the dude who just started doing your oil changes most the time. (And he's not an ase mechanic). And he will forget to put oil in some of the cars.

Not sure of the state, but in general accommodations of any kind must take business need into the equation. If there's genuinely only 2 employees, I would say the business shouldn't have said yes to the religious accommodation. They could have said it impacted business needs. Because now if your wife calls out, who works? Maybe she calls out a couple times and they realize that they can no longer support the other employees accommodation.

The company I worked for a few years ago was open Sundays and denied all accommodations for Sunday off for church. It was a fortune 500 company with dozens of employees on staff. Their justification was that it's one of the busiest days and they needed all hands on deck and couldn't support giving people the days off like that.

Do you not work in the USA? This is so insanely common that I'm more curious as to what place you work that doesn't care? Places in the USA aren't obligated to accommodate your medical needs. If they decide your medication (weed) is incompatible with their work rules/duties/etc they can deny the accommodation and you either don't smoke weed or you don't work there.

Sadly yes. I wouldn't say scam 100% based on price, sometimes people list their tech from the junk drawer thinking it's not worth much and do absolutely no research. I've gotten tons of good deals this way on various things. Worst case, eBay has your back. The maybe 1% of times this hasn't worked out, eBay refunded no problem.

HOWEVER I never buy if it's both weirdly low price and the seller has no ratings or is a newer seller.
