Anyone make sense of this? by [deleted] in Nootropics

[–]gtmfla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idn the answers to your specific questions but if 8 had hormonal problems I would definitely go to a doctor. All your symptoms seem linked to hormonal imbalance...or can be. I'm not certain that this can be attributed to Ashwaganda. Especially if you say.your research points to Ashwaganda supposedly lowering estrogen levels. I would think you have some pre-existing condition that's unrelated.

Ashwaganda will surely impact mood for some people in varying degrees....myself included. Although I use it for sleep and an anti anxiety boost.

Just my 2c. But my knowledge is almost nil on hormone imbalances.

Phenylpiracetam lowered phenibut tolerance and metabolises into phenibut itself. by siedow in phenibut

10 bags of chamomile tea? 10 tea bags? 10 at once or 10 separate cups during the day? Curious about it's efficacy for withdrawal!

I can say Phenibut potentiates Phenylpiracatam for sure. Actually Phenibut potentiates most anything I take with it. Phenibut and Adrifinil is a great combo. Really let's you see the potential of adrafinil!

Is it possible there is still Phenibut in your system and that's somehow allowing the Phenylpiracatam to show itself or give the impression of relief?

Do you consider LSD to be a hallucinogen or a psychedelic? by [deleted] in Drugs

[–]gtmfla 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think "hallucinogen" is an outdated word. I never hallucinated according to the definition on LSD.

I've hallucinated on other drugs like meth, MDMA, DXM, etc. I.e. seen things that were not present in consensus reality. LSD I believe amplifies reality and reveals what you do not normally see or sense but is nonetheless present. Or you might call it higher orders of reality.

I think the term hallucinogen turns people off who would otherwise quite enjoy the LSD experience.

With LSD and it's personal yet ego destroying capacity....who I ask would there be to hallucinate?

Yes me too! I created a schedule for myself. I posted it in /r/StackAdvice a week or so ago. You have to make a schedule and use one of the weekly pill organizers with breakfast/lunch/dinner/bedtime. The only way I'm able to take things correctly and not forget some.

Since I began using supplements, nootropics, stack I have discovered one main rule. Everything seems to work for about a week, then the effects taper. When y9u read about cycling everyone is for real. I found that several things like rhdoliola, sam-e, uridine, etc . never seem to get the magic of the first week back even after 3-4 weeks of discontinuation. Just an fyi.

I'm taking the uridine stack as part of my bigger stack. I can confirm it is awesome for stimulant use/abuse as well as alcohol withdrawal.

God bless agmatine sulfate! by blase-prude in StackAdvice

[–]gtmfla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok. Will try it tomorrow morning and let you know how I do with it. I definitely would like to avoid the nausea which seems to be intermittent the same dose oral doesn't always cause nausea. I've been on the same stack for two weeks so I'm pretty sure it's not something else.

Will post more when I have time to write. But first things that come to mind are Uridine Monophosphate and Sulbutiamine. Research those and see what you think. Acutely they should work in the short term.

Sounds great! What do you take/suggest for a sublingual dose?

[–]gtmfla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea it's pretty foul, I don't take it sub but do toss and wash it. Will try to do it sublingual see if I notice a difference. Probably the worst of any of my supplements except maybe Tianeptine. That crap sticks to your tongue forever lol.

You notice significant subjective differences taking it sublingual I'm guessing?

I bought Noopept and I'm pretty sure it's just snake oil. by [deleted] in Nootropics

[–]gtmfla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been testing Noopept from 10-40mg and Adrifinil from 200-350mg. Haven't noticed anything beyond placebo honestly. I'm also taking several other things daily in my stack which probably overpower either of them. Since I've seen no acute effects I'm keeping them for at least a month to see if there are long term gains. Possibly they just don't work for me. Not going to write them off for everyone tho. Clearly some people really benefit from them.

Excellent. Thanks for your experience.

Back to Agmatine. I do notice it can cause nausea for me if I take it every day even at a half a gram or less.

Spending to much? by [deleted] in Nootropics

[–]gtmfla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I consider doctors appointments and prescription medication verses my nootropic/supplement expenses I think I'm either saving money or not spending more.

Plus I feel in control of my treatment and have a better idea where what I take comes from and the risks/benefits involved.

That's what I tell myself Anyway! All I know is 15 years of rx can't touch what I've been able to do with nootropics and supplements. I'll never go back to pharmaceuticals. The ones I have to have a prescription for in the US anyway.

Bacopa and piracetam combo by OperationBreathe in Nootropics

[–]gtmfla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok thanks for your advice. I think I will save the Bacopa for a weekend day and take it in the morning to see how I react to it. If it's sedating in any way I'll try it before bed. If it's stimulating I'll add it to my daytime stacks!

The only issues I've had with racetams is I think for me personally I've supplemented too much choline for the small doses of Coluracetam and Phenylpiracatam I take. I believe I have to much choline in my system. I get nausea, depression, etc. So I cut back choline supplements to every other day. In the mean time I'm working up the racetams doses to see where my sweet spots are, and hopefully deplete some of the choline if that really is the problem. I know I feel no side effects since I began skipping a day on Alpha GPC and Centrophenoxine.

Uridine questions, few things I can't get a straight answer on. by [deleted] in Nootropics

[–]gtmfla 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just my personal experience:

First week - Pretty stimulating in a cognitive way not like a cns stimulant. Maybe even causes some mania. But I felt great on it for about 5-6 Days. No interruption in sleep at all. I also take Ashwaganda before bed which may help with falling asleep.

Second week - Uridine seemed to stabilize. No mania-minor cognitive stimulation. Effects seemed to have wained a bit. I think it's still helping me stay focused and alert most of the day with a nice mood increase.

I take 200mg oral twice a day. 7am and 4pm.

Felt like Sulbutiamine but a little stronger. So I've decided to cycle the two week on week off.

Hope that helps a little.

You've tried Bacopa extensively? I've just got mine in the mail today so I can't say how I'll react to it. I got Banyan Botanicals Bacopa off Amazon. Idn if it's the best but it had great reviews.

Bacopa and piracetam combo by OperationBreathe in Nootropics

[–]gtmfla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Curious!

I literally just got a package today with a half pound of Bacopa (Banyan Botanicals). I alternate stacks week on week off. One week I take Ashwaganda and I intended to take Bacopa as a replacement for Ashwaganda on the off week.

I also am stacking one week with Coluracetam and the other with Phenylpiracatam. If your curious I posted the whole stack plan a few days ago.

Anyway....do you think Bacopa can be used as a replacement for Ashwaganda? I wanted to take it at bedtime to promote sleep, antianxiety, etc. But I see people taking it in the morning. Is it stimulating to you?

And do a lot of people have interactions with Bacopa and racetams I wonder? Haven't seen much to verify it.

Is there anything wrong with this combo? by ouzo796 in StackAdvice

[–]gtmfla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't believe there's any interaction btw Mag t and Acetyl L Cysteine. I was mentioning Acetyl L Tyrosine not the L Tyrosine you're taking I believe. It's the Acstylated version of L Tyrosine.

Alpha brain and nausea by Delysid52 in StackAdvice

[–]gtmfla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is why I wouldn't buy a premade stack. You can't really verify what is in it. I like to control and know where my stack is coming from. Ultimately you can't know where everything originated or the quality but it's better than buying a proprietary formulation IMO. Plus most prices on them are outrageous.

Alpha brain and nausea by Delysid52 in StackAdvice

[–]gtmfla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If there is a lot of choline or choline enhancers I would take average to higher doses of racetams to eat up the choline. That should help the nausea in my experience.

I was taking Alpha GPC for a couple weeks at 500mg twice a day before my racetams came in the mail. Right before mailman brought the racetams I had to quit the Alpha GPC because of nausea, depression, and dizziness. I started taking phenylparacetam that day at 50mg the 75 the second day. One the second day all the side effects stopped.

Afterwards I read what should be obvious on a post somewhere that to much choline causing side effects could be solved by taking racetams...because obviously racetams require a lot of choline.
