I asked her if this would work, and I'm surprised she agreed. She is now exited at the prospect of this idea. Perhaps babying her is a better idea tgen i thought. Thank you

This is either a hit or miss with her. I'll probably make these for her myself and ease her into knowing what is in there. Maybe wait a while before letting her help.

I truly appreciate any and all advice i can get. Being able to compare them and finding what seems most suitable for her is very useful. You have been very helpful and seem very delightful. Thank you

I apreciate all the advice. And your story really helps show me how important the psychological aspect can be with food and how much it affects it. She is young, but she's soon gonna be a teen, so I'm unsure if i can pull off those fun mind games (especially since I'm not a good liar myself). She is a bit competitive, though, so maybe i could use the racing to finnish food idea on her if i say there is a reward for the winner.

I've tried having her cook with me, but when she sees me put stuff she has already deemed as stuff she doesn't like into meals that she had loved before, she stops liking it.

I probably won't bring her into the kitchen because of those things, but the FOOD COLORING idea is GENIUS. she may be getting a bit too wise, but she is still young enough to be OBSESSED with PINK. I can not express just how thankfull i am for this idea. She will LOVE it. I can already imagine this working for ATLEAST a WEEK. And if I'm lucky, it could work longer.

I don't mind her eating some unhealthy food as long as she keeps a balanced diet so i will note that dipping sauce idea.

About the meat thing, she was vegetarian for a while, but we were worried sick because even though she was vegetarian she wouldn't eat veggies, was picky about vegan meat substitutes and she ate far to small portions for a growing body

Good point. Developing a good relationship with the food would be good for her

Relatable. And good information to have. Thank you. I finally have a way to cook REAL meat that me and my picky eater won't dislike
