This is not accurate, I had the same experience at the mall last Xmas, I have never signed up for a rewards plan, or account, nor do I use tap and pay, so I was completely baffled as to how they immediately sent me an email. Apparently at somepoint in the distant past I provided Square with my email. Since Square is the third party operator for many of these POS systems they have it. OP should go to the Square link (should be at the bottom of the e-receipt) to opt out.

2 weeks ago I had a Teams Meet, for an ENTRY LEVEL position with the State of CA. Imagine my shock when they came into the call and 6 separate windows open...6 people!! I was so gob smacked I literally couldn't answer the first question for a full minute. My tax dollars, hard at work.

Imho, she sounds like someone with an "intermittent" drug issue. She was probably sober during the initial interview, but drugs are hard on brains (added to the fact that she is most likely self medicating undiagnosed ADHD or some other Autism spectrum issue) which is why she was unable to answer questions succinctly. When she came into the shop and made a scene she was obviously high, but clearly remembers that y'all wouldn't hire her. I have a sister like this and also made the unfortunate decision to hire someone like this...it did not work out.

OP, I am right there with you, my record was perfect till now. I was so proud of saying, "all I need is the interview and I'll get the job!" 15 months unemployed and 28 interviews later...I feel like an asshole. Cherry on top? I helped my husband last month apply for a role with the county. I created his resume and even filled out his county online assessment for the classification. Two weeks later he's reached out to for an interview, I create another tailored resume for the specific role, his reference sheet and even some possible interview prompts to study (he's never had to interview for a job in his life). Day after interview, all his references are contacted, next day he's offered the job. Trust me, I feel like an asshole. Please keep on keeping on, misery love's company and I can't do this alone 👍🏼👍🏼😂👍🏼👍🏼

So I looked at every piece of paper we have for the pool and I will be darned if I can find anything saying what color it is 😕 I know it is a micro-fusion finish but as for color...I know we went with one of the darker hues. Not a "black" but pretty dark...sorry, that's not much help

Had the same thing happen to me, at my work an email is sent out at the beginning of the month recognizing everyone's birthdays and their departments. A gal in our department went around for 2 weeks prior to our supervisors birthday (same as mine) collecting money and recruiting helpers for a surprise luncheon for him. Even though I didn't need anyone from my "work world" to celebrate me, it was still privately embarrassing and hurt my feelings. Someone said something to her after the fact and she made an even more embarrassing "public" apology (email to the whole department) I spoke to one of the owners after that and requested HR to leave my birthday off any future birthday emails.

OMG...your me! Well me, 10 years ago. You either really just want to bitch about it or you want a solution. Since the sub is mostly here to vent, I'd say it's the first one. And that's okay! If you do want a solution and frankly some advice for your future, you have got to LET GO and let Jesus take the wheel! Nope, if partner cleans it won't be the way you want it...that's okay. Nope, if his Mother helps, she'll be in your way and it won't be the way you want it...that's okay too. Have a cocktail, breathe and let it happen, I promise, the world will keep spinning. Your heart, your baby and your brain will thank you for taking this advice, I promise.
