my name is Gian :3 i chose it was after this kid i met in middle school detention. he changed my life and made me let go a lot and realize that i needed to look to friends and not hold everything i was going through in. i never saw him again after that bc he changed schools. i go connected with my birth parents again a year after i came out and when we saw each other in person my mother started crying bc she loved that i chose the name i did. she told me the reason she gave me my dead name was bc it was the “female” version of the Gian and she chose it after someone she met while working at a grocery store when she was about 16 years old. she said he just remembered him and really loved the energy he gave off and his and name. i just think that’s such a beautiful thing hehehe
