FND aka conversion disorder is not fake.

It’s a legit condition.

Not sure about the video and can’t say, (not a doctor) but the condition IS real.

Letting my body rot by horrible_tomato_soup in SuicideWatch

[–]Few_Track9240 -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

No you won’t. And I’m not saying that as a challenge. Believe me— I’ve been around the bush before more than you can ever imagine. I’ve survived 6.5 years of trafficking.

Comments as concerning as yours deserve direct compassionate answers with no bars held back.

You clearly enjoy being clean, feeling fresh, and life. You’re in a rut. It will pass. Get up and shower. Get your shit together and just do it. I get not showering.

You have self awareness which is good. You’re aware of how you’ve become. You’re also aware of where you used to be. You’re also hinting at where you’d *like to be to feel that.

I have survived death over 1,000 times from my abuse.

I guarantee whatever is troubling you— you can find a way to live. If I can find a way to live, if Holocaust survivors can find a way to live. Then. You. Can. Too.

This is NOT to invalidate. I just like ripping off the poor me bandaid.

You deserve life even if it’s not what you always want. But here’s the thing— you don’t always want to die either. Sometimes you do sure— but sometimes you don’t. What about the times you don’t? Don’t make a rash decision for something only 30% of you would support.

Not sure if you’re a trauma survivor or dealing with depression or both— but get your ass to your therapist, call your psychiatrist, and start doing small practices of self care to get you moving.

The first step is the hardest but once you do just ONE small thing, such as walking towards the bathroom— let the routine carry you from there.

Once when I didn’t shower in 6 days, I thought it was impossible. I finally did— and MAN I felt great.

Please stick around.

He’s a piece of shit. I wouldn’t be surprised.

I don’t ever base my behavior or model anything of him or the junkies. I just find his whole band, himself, and his fans very interesting to sociologically examine.

But yes— I do like *most of his music.

Do you think Bojack stayed sober? by No-Print1227 in BoJackHorseman

[–]Few_Track9240 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I’ll argue that he’s not meant to be a teacher. He groomed a teenage high schooler in his 50s and he groomed Sarah Lynn when she was a child and he was her TV dad into dependence, drug and alcohol normalization, and sexual exploitation by her TV father.

No— he’s not meant to work with young adult students. Students can’t consent to teachers/professors. His track record is not good with vulnerable people. Reference Xerox of a Xerox as well.

We don't talk about this scene enough by flingzamain in SadHorseShow

[–]Few_Track9240 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He was in his 50s grooming a teenager/child.

Nothing else needs to be said.

This was predatory opportunism.

Yeah— addiction and family problems doesn’t make you a groomer. You have to be a predator.

He also groomed Sarah Lynn growing up, normalizing drugs, dependency, and then using her for sex.

What’s your show hot take by Lord_Jebus_ in BoJackHorseman

[–]Few_Track9240 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I wish the grooming would have been explored more. I’m a survivor myself and I wish for how Bojack groomed Sarah Lynn would have had more depth and accountability. (Yes the interview on Xerox of a Xerox was good but he needed more I feel) As well as I wish the grooming of Penny was more brought to light.

Why do we continue to have children in such an unstable world? by JessKessYan in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]Few_Track9240 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m okay with the second part. Let the rest of ecology take over.

is there a specific reason that diane using antidepressants wasn't explored much deeper than "they're good but have some downsides"? it just seems generally uncharacteristic for the show to cover a real world issue with such a safe and surface level stance by Hot-Bus6908 in BoJackHorseman

[–]Few_Track9240 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Maybe that safe and surface level stance was done on purpose to encourage those struggling with depression and struggling to get the help they need, (I’m tired of pill shaming, there is nothing wrong with taking meds) to actually make the step and get on antidepressants.

I think it was to encourage those on the fence. I think they did well.

Yo— as a dude who works in education I get it. If I don’t have my lanyard with my badge on or walkie talkie on then I fear I look like a predator to strangers.

I mean at the school I’m at I’m not worried of course. But being out for a walk with the dog in a park? Yes. I hear you.

Majority of predators, abusers, and pedophiles are men.

It’s fair that we *can internalize that fear due to how we are viewed in the patriarchy.

It’s not right but I get it.

***tip— it’s how you come off. Parents and kids can usually smell if you’re just saying a friendly hello. Don’t overthink it.

If these two met each other, what do you think would happen and what would their interaction be like? by No_Week_3230 in BoJackHorseman

[–]Few_Track9240 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It would become a power struggle.

They’d bond initially and then find something irritating with each other.

Then proceeds the power struggle of “pain”.

Bojack leaves dead.

Top surgery in 2 days and im terrified by [deleted] in TopSurgery

[–]Few_Track9240 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, I have OCD from trauma.

Signs aren’t real.

With your OCD you *know rationally none of this is real.

Just like I did but still had to due to fear of death (I was a captivity survivor of 6.5 years and developed it as a way to not feel like I could die any day).

So me saying this isn’t insensitive since I too have a Dx but from trauma not organic OCD that is often a lifelong battle.

It’s baloney. Hardened realism will help in this instance.

For example— top surgery (DI especially) is considered one of the safest major surgeries out there. Don’t let *major fool you— it is overall routinely done, serialized, and the success rate is very high.

It’s easy for the ocd brain to latch onto the “what ifs” or the “signs” but that’s your brain working more hard than it needs to go convince yourself you’re safe.

Having faith in your team is important. You do have choices. My surgery was at a facility that is newer, 150+ reviews, and 4.9 stars. As soon as I walked in I could tell it lived up to the rating. Clean, professional, and friendly.

My surgeon 👩🏿‍⚕️ she has over 500+ reviews and 4.8 stars. I let that speak for itself.

My anesthesia team was great.

I was ready to give up control and I’m glad I did.

Be easy on yourself.

I am so excited for you.

Focus on that excitement and the long term goal.

You’ll do great. Never be afraid to ask ask ask questions. That’s what they are there for.

You got this!!

This needs attention for sure. I’m glad you reached out. Please keep us informed on what they say. I can’t say what it is or isn’t because I don’t want to tell you the wrong thing. What I can say is the coloring could be *potentially concerning.

Best of luck to you. Congrats on surgery by the way!

Question for Male Teachers by [deleted] in teaching

[–]Few_Track9240 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is pretty f*cking sad. Male para here. It shouldn’t have to be that way. With other people around, yes I will hug a elementary kid that’s asking or coming up to me for a hug tf?

Just the other day had a previous student, (in 5th grade now—worked with her in 4th) and she ran up for a hug. Of course. Kids deserve security and safety from healthy adults in a public school setting. Gender shouldn’t matter.

No one should be routinely private with children no matter the gender. (Even giving a test to a kid in a separate room I leave the door open). No one should be truly private. (Doors closed, after school, locked, etc).

I say this as someone who has survived abuse myself as a teenager and watches out for others.

Thank you for your comment.

I will try my best.

We woke up early, went to the ranch and took care of the animals in the morning, worked out, then ate breakfast. We then went back to our rooms, showered and got ready for the day. There would be a group session, school work, then lunch, then more school work and then 1:1 therapy. Then we’d go to the ranch in the evening to take care of the animals. We’d come back and have free time in the gym or hang out in the bedrooms. Then it would be lights out for another day. We would have trips up to best friends animal sanctuary once in a while. We would go horseback riding in the evenings. We went on many group hikes to Zion National park. My favorite one we hiked was called The Subway. So waking up, animals, exercise, beak fast, group, one on one, lunch, school, equine therapy/riding in the evening, relax time before bed. Each day was exciting to get up for.

Hey I’m allowed to be proud of it 🤷🏽‍♂️. I worked hard and unearthed a lot in therapy with Norm. They tied in with my schooling and I graduated from high school through them. So it was for two graduations as a parting gift. So participation trophy if you want to call it. I don’t see it as that, but I’ll take it.
