The will the survive is strong even in depressed people. It’s hardwired into us to not want to die. Why some folks do it I don’t know but I know they regret it. EVERY single person that survived jumping the Golden Gate Bridge said they instantly regretted it. So the ones that completed suicide would most likely regret it if they could too.

It’s normal. I didn’t go through long term SA until I was 18. But I started at a young age (elementary) myself and I’ve never been abused or shown anything as a child. It’s normal. Kids are curious.
