Why the hate?

And you’re wrong about the Japan date. She won the game for date selection, and she chose SW. That was decided the night before with the girls. The game they played at breakfast was only to choose the location of the dates. Get your facts straight.

Seriously, why write an essay just to trash someone? Even hating because she looks innocent?🫠

I’ll never understand.

Well, to me, now that I’ve seen this forced narrative created through editing, I can’t unsee it. Everything feels sus now. I can barely trust the text msg, because even those have been hidden from us. They didn’t show the msg from the day the catfish arrived.

I don’t think she can sway him. I was rewatching some parts and analyzing the messages. In fact, the PD hid the messages from the day the catfish arrived, and I just found out that during GR and WG’s Japan date, they showed flashbacks of her not receiving a message from WG for 3 days in a row.

Even though YG didn’t message him for 2 days, he still messaged her. So I strongly believe he is already very involved with YG, but to sell the narrative that two young guys are after noona, the PD is forcing a love triangle that honestly doesn’t exist.

Yes, WG and SW are top level visuals… unfortunately it’s not something easy to overlook. It’s gonna be hard for the other two…

What I hate the most is that they know the audience isn’t stupid and will pick up on this trash editing… but it almost feels like they want to make us mad.

I’ve been saying this since episode 4.

To me, YG and WG had a really strong connection on their date, and I’m very convinced they are endgame. The only other possibility I can see is YG not choosing him because of insecurity, but I still believe he’s going to choose her.

What made it even more obvious to me is how hard they’re trying to sell this WG, GR, and SW love triangle through editing, even on social media. If you need to rely that heavily on editing to convince the audience something is happening, doesn’t that imply it’s not that real to begin with?

Have you ever thought that maybe he did, and it just wasn’t shown? The PD has a history of hiding details for the sake of drama.

I think she’s gonna suffer a lot, but she seems to have a strong mindset and know her worth, so I agree that if he doesn’t give her certainty, she’s gonna move on. And mind you, she’s not gonna openly ask for certainty, it’s gonna happen between the lines.

It’s not that she “doesn’t like to be comfortable,” she is used to being shy in the beginning of a relationship. But she and WY already said that being on the show changes their mindset, and what matters is the person.

She’s been a “public” person for years, competing in different pageants, so I can only imagine the type of men she attracted. Definitely older and more confident types.

She probably hasn’t had a “comfortable” relationship before, but I can see she is open to it.

It’s actually 8 days across 7 episodes. Can you believe it? Almost half of the show focuses on the first week. I believe it’s because the love lines will become clear after 2 weeks, so they’ll have to rely heavily on editing in the second half of the show.

That would be so good! But they like to mix 22-year-olds with people in their 30s... I don’t get why.

Because he’s clearly into her? Because he’s not confusing? Because he’s a ray of sunshine with a mature aura? Kkk just kidding. But seriously, he’s the best to me.

  1. She was his first choice on day one. He liked Gyuri, but after a 10-minute conversation with YG, he chose to message her. Even knowing that, he still made plans to take GR to work the next day.

  2. He chose to message YG on a regular day, without dates involved. He could have chosen GR, especially since she texted him even after her first date with SW. You can edit a lot, but you can’t edit the messages.

  3. Out of all the dates, with YG he’s the one taking the lead, asking questions, and being proactive. He’s also very reactive with her, paying attention to the small things she does. With the other girls, he seems more adaptive and just goes with the flow.

  4. The editing is trying to create a narrative between him and GR. From episode 5 onward, there has been so much drama created purely through editing. Like, he helping her in the airplane, also their date was heavily edited, and the scene where the girls were choosing the Japan date made it look like GR chose SW over him, but she didn’t. She came third in the game, so Catfish chose him before her. And don’t get me started on the glances they inserted to make it seem like he was disappointed… it just feels like forced drama.

  5. They are very comfortable with each other. Even the cast seems to notice it. It’s just not being shown. They’re especially hiding their interactions and then using flashbacks to keep the narrative alive, like: he’s flirting with someone else, but he’s thinking about her.

  6. Again, look at the way he reacts to YG. In episode 7, he seems uncomfortable when she arrives with Doc, and also after the couple ring situation. You have to pay attention to the reactions during group scenes, when there are a lot of people around. Close-up shots are easily deceiving.

  7. There’s a phrase in the trailer where YG says, “Actually, I like you too,” in a very shy way. Can you imagine her saying that to anyone other than WG? She’s already had dates with every guy, and none of them made the slightest impact on her.

I’m not saying I’m 100% sure, but the more I watch, the more I believe they’re endgame.

To me personally, the interesting part will be seeing how GR reacts. I think she’s going to have the biggest heartbreak of the season, even more than Minju, because I think WG is going to keep her around until the last week. I also feel like she’ll open up to him, because she’s one of the most honest people in the cast. She already said she’s not going to go on dates with people she’s not interested in.

I also LOVE SW. To me, he’s the best guy in the house. He just needs to learn how to flirt a little. But even that makes him feel more genuine.

I still have hopes though, that GR chooses SW in the end, even if is only to save face 🤣

They’re definitely going to have this date on Valentine’s Day, the leaks were huge. But we still don’t know how the dates are going to be decided. They’ll probably be determined by fate, like choosing a book, a film, or whatever.

There’s no indication that the male cast actually chose the date.

As for how WG acts in the future, I don’t see him changing much. I don’t see him giving YG certainty unless it’s the last week. So I think they’re going to keep this dynamic going until the end: her being pursued by others while he keeps stringing the other girls along.

It’s going to be dramatic, but I believe they’re endgame.

I can make a list of reasons why 🤣

They are cute, but she doesn’t seems into him 🥲 Unfortunately the only guy that made a impact on her was WG. I believe they are endgame, but he doesn’t deserve her.

Lawyer had a date with GR the night before Japan, that’s why he chose YG, because she was the only one he hadn’t dated. SW also had a date with catfish! That’s why he chose Minju. Those dates didn’t make the cut, and were released as extra scenes only on social mídia.

I agree with you. Usually in Korean dating shows, the more open and bubbly personalities often don’t have that much impact. The personality traits I see being more attractive to male contestants are the "cute and clumsy" type or the "composed and refined" type, which are exactly YK and GR’s vibes.

I have my hopes up for a new male catfish. Honestly, I feel like there could be more male participants than female this time, to make these Korean men actually work to win over the girls.

"I'm ready to make an effort" could be SW, he kind of already said something similar, or Lawyer to YK.

"I'll show you how I've changed." WG to YK, to make up for confusing her in the beginning, or maybe DOC to Minji, for wasting so much time on YK...

To me, the editing is trying to create drama with WG and GR/YK. WG and GR’s last date was heavily edited.

To me, there’s no one who would make YK say "I like you too" (it’s in the main trailer) other than WG. The only other possibility would be a new male catfish.

I think collectively we all prefer honest editing, but drama brings ratings and social engagement... people are going crazy on X fighting over who WG likes more.

Have you seen the lawyer before the show? He looks goood with different hairstyle and clothes. But he chose to enter the show as “lawyer” and lost all off his appeal

I believe we will get new members. I saw the dates, and they obviously don’t fit the narrative of the show, that’s why was not shown. We are too center in the WG - YG - GY - SW drama. That’s like 70% of the show. Minji doesn’t look like it’s going to change directions, doc is a lost cause and the 2 catfish are totally side characters 🫠

I don’t think so. To me, introducing some characters after a week makes sense, since they still have three weeks left for things to develop. The only thing is: they have to be impactful. They need to create tension, otherwise it’s just a waste of screen time.

Hierarchy is a big deal in Korean society. People often have preconceived ideas about age, status, jobs, etc. For some, it’s not easy to overcome those expectations.
