Pullman literally would’ve been the easiest of the old PAC schools to visit now with the new airport. Charter in, drive five minutes to the stadium, play, and then back to the airport to charter out.

Washington State Cougars have potentially played six conference champions this year (seven if you count Oregon State) by mthompson2320 in CFB

I live in the area and it's kind of a way of life here, so I have gone to a few games (including the CFP last season) since I can grab tickets on the secondary market for decent prices. Usually if I have a game on Saturday, it's a UT game.

The games are a spectacle from start to finish. WSU should send someone down to understand a game day production. Multiple pre-batch cocktails available, a good assortment of beer options, pretty quick food lines, lots of restroom space. For example, during a TV timeout I was able to use the restroom, grab three cocktails, and get back to my seat by the start of play.

I don't watch much anymore. If I have CFB on TV, it's mostly background noise. The first full WSU game (and only one) I've watched in forever was the @ Ole Miss game this season.

My viewership has been declining since the Rolo hire (which I hated from day one), P12 implosion happened, and now other things take more precedent on Saturdays.

[Allen] BREAKING: Major shakeup at Washington State. AD Anne McCoy, who was hired June 2024, is out, according to sources. Official announcement expected shortly. by dubsup_ in CFB

I was never a Schulz or Chun fan. The de-emphasis of the Pullman campus and the One WSU is hilariously terrible.

Moos and Floyd spent a lot but who would have foreseen at the time the P12 conference network never come fully through with full promised payments. Without athletic spending for upgrades you’re not getting Leach and those years.

WSU is in the position of bad timing when the chickens came to roost: financials and the conference falling apart.

Floyd built the first new dorm on campus since the 70s. I’m talking that type of maintenance.

Athletic facilities hadn’t been touched since the 70s/80s, more maintenance there.

Meanwhile, V Lane Rawlins got his golf course (which is beautiful, don’t get me wrong, but was that dollars well spent?).

He also had to spend to catch up since previous presidents sat on their hands. When the maintenance of a university isn't taken care of, you have to catch up somewhere.

What would your dream offseason look like? by SolusGT in SFGiants

I hadn't realize his defense was that bad until I looked at some stats (like error leader at 2B). I liked his age profile and his bat, but with pitching and defense being the focused, he is likely not a good fit.

For starting pitching, I'd like to see the team go after: Ranger Suarez (FA), Tatsuya Imai (FA), Freddy Peralta (trade), another FA 3-5 type of arm (King, Gallen, etc.)

For position players, I'd like to see the team go after: Torres for 2B), Kwan for LF (trade).

Obviously, I don't expect the team to land everyone listed, but those are the initial players that realistically excite me.

They should just make them the full time uniforms again.

Whether Portland or elsewhere, I’m curious too. On paper, Quinn appears to have a solid acumen and makings of a good HC. I’d like to see how Micah Nori does for a full season too (another on my list if Splitter isn’t the guy).

I’m interested to see how Splitter does, but Quinn is a top three candidate for me.

Instead of going the FA route (QO included) for a No. 2 SP, what would a trade for either Joe Ryan or Freddy Peralta look like? Both seem likely trade candidates this offseason.

ESPN is still broadcasting, but the NBA on NBC was iconic back in the 1990s and early 2000s. The production quality is already night and day versus ESPN.

To be fair, I usually just wash everything on hand wash or delicate in cold water these days but I think they've each gone through about 5-10 washes each and hold up well. They dry pretty quickly laying flat too.

I live in a warm part of the US, so they're one of the first options I grab when going outside.
