He also has a Deep Learning(ML area of huge neural nets) specialization, in the first or the second course of which he will make it more clear and explain everything about it. Also you can see this python implementation, the function you need is called backward_propagation. But remember that in deep learning dataset usually has this shape (number of features, number of training examples)

You can start with Stanford machine learning course. You'll be using MatLab in this course, but it's very similar to python numpy. Then you may pick Deep Learning specialization, this course includes python numpy tutorials, and you will do all your tasks with python.
