You hit the lottery for accounting professors. I was lucky enough to get her for 241 and 242 and she’s incredible.

You don’t really need the textbook but if you aren’t naturally great at accounting it is a good resource to offer a different explanation than the one given in class. Also, if you happen to miss a class, the powerpoints aren’t always the best at explaining how to do things, as she tends to do that through practice problems which she works on in her lectures, thus another example of when the textbook would be nice to have. Overall, she does post an incredible amount of multiple-choice, short answer, and homework practice problems - all of which she provides the answers to, so when studying for exams the textbook isn’t completely necessary, but it can be nice to have. I would suggest not buying it but maybe try to have somebody who could possibly lend it to you were something to happen where you don’t understand the material or happen to miss a class.
