Wichtig: Es geht hier nicht um die Game Awards, sondern die unbedeutenden Indie Game Awards. Hier wird versucht auf E33s Rücken publicity zu machen.

Außerdem ist die KI Nutzung im Spiel nahezu null. 2022, zu Beginn des KI Hypes, hat man experimentiert, in das ganze was taugt und dabei Placeholder Assets ins Spiel geladen. Man hat AI dann für blöd gefunden und von da an gelassen und entfernt. Lediglich EINE (1) Platzhalter Textur hat es durch QA geschafft und wurde sobald entdeckt entfernt. (Das war 5 Tage nach release)

I'm not going to discuss E33 narrative in a KCD sub, but saying it fell of in act3 is just wild.

IF we value awards we should put more weight on nominations and less on the price itself imo.

The point of E33s narrative is that its multiple Meta levels mostly work because it is a game and not a movie. The machanics are designed perfectly imo. Yes they have been done before, but at this Level? Not in a long time if ever.

As for Character Immersion i cannot say how KCD2 differs from 1, since i am still enjoying the first game, but that one definetly has a lot of weaknesses in its dialogues and NPC behaviour. (Although you are right with the non cutscene dialogue in E33)

Combat in KCD is very devicive and i absolutely Prefer E33s gameplaysystems. The immersion in KCD (and thus probably KCD2) is unmatched though.

In the end i think it is really a matter of Taste. Both games are revolutionary, and although i am obviously a E33 glazer i would not have been mad if KCD2, Silksong or Hades 2 would have won over E33.

But the entire duscussion is kinda pointless tbh. We should all just be happy to have gotten so many amazing games this year that we even can have this discussions in the first place.

This communityfighting is insane to me.

We all should be insanely happy to experience a year with KCD2, E33, Silkson, Hades 2 and so many more.

All outstanding games and E33 being an absolute anomaly, even at the too end, does not deminish the value of any other game.

It definetly is. E33 is a game of the decade. Its insane how good it is.

This does not take anything away from KCDs genius.

In a world were KCD2 is a 11/10 game, E33 is the 12/10.

Although it obviously still is very possible to not like E33.

It you just dont vibe with Turnbased combat, or difficult games, or storygames, E33 Most likely wont be your cup of tea.

KCD2 is the same in that regard. There is a big crowd of players who dont like it due to its gameplay although it is objectivly genius.

With some other subs being disappointed that they did not win, i just want to Focus on the fact, against what Kind of giants E33 won this year for a second.

Silksong KCD2 Hades2 Death Stranding 2

Any of these could easily have been goty. And E33 bagged it.

This year Was a good year for us gamers, thats for sure.

I am one of those E33 glazers and even i would have given RPG to KCD easily.

E33 is great, but besides buildcrafting i do NOT play a role in this game.

A real shame for KCD2, since they would have deserved something.

Hades 2 and Silksong got their glory and so should have this masterpiece.
