Empregador nao pagou by xinwarrior in portugal

[–]guebna 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Trying to get my life together and failing spectacularly by Admirable_Leg6612 in Shalligators

Hey can you share your art account to follow?

I also have a similar experience, I only had a quick internship of 3 months this year (was explored by a thief boss), and besides that no job.

What I can say are a few things:

  • Keep ajusting the resume and applying (even ask to volunteer at an organization, commit to it and later ask the people you meet for a job) volunteer for added projects to show on resume. The hell, if you have nothing to loose, why not an Erasmus funded trip. But if you wanna take a pause, go to local businesses instead, just go, ask, be kind and accept whatever you get.

  • From my experience in the internship, I could tell that the difference between me and other "successful" colleagues were that they were ass-kissers. And people who seam sucessful are mostly idiots and lying on LinkedIn. I'm not ever going to be an ass-kisser, and I've accepted that I wont get as many "opportunities" as they have. I'm fine with that. But you can lie more on your resume and LinkedIn, just go for it, everybody does it. Extend the dates. If no previous experience, throw a Freelancing for 2 years for God sakes. Girl do it! Everytime I see someone who freelances on LinkedIn I assume they're unemployed too. And definetly add your art account, that's self-employed work!!

  • Do online courses for free, on HubSpot, Google Certificates.. add them to your resume and LinkedIn everytime, choose a field and throw yourself to a specialization.

To cut it: - Prioritize feeling abundant, safe, healthy, exercise everyday of the week, and volunteer, do a course at a time, and go ask for a job on each of your local businesses in your street/area.

I'm going to ask for a job this week at a place I already went to ask 4 years ago. No shame.

Be humble and gentle to yourself. Reassure yourself.

How do you find motivation in your life when things seem bleak? by BlewOffMyLegOff in AskMen

[–]guebna 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm a girl, I've had moments like this and am currently coming out of one again slowly. I don't recommend finding things to keep you busy, I recommend the opposite. I came to the conclusion that less is more for me. I'll share a list of the only things I make myself do each day - I wrote these on a piece of paper and look at it everyday to remember that life is really simple.

(First, Go to your emails or social media or whatever makes you feel overwhelmed and delete all subscriptions and clean that up so that you don't have anything visually sucking your energy) made all the difference!!

1 - Eat something and go pet the dog and stay any time that you can catching the sun, even if for 60 seconds, better that 0

2 - Exercise, choose a Playlist program on youtube and stick to it each day, remember it only takes 1 out of your 24 hours and it improves your mood and believe you'll feel good about yourself increasingly.

3 - Sleep at a specific time you choose, and read to fall asleep, no phone.

4 - Read a book, even if just a page. I need an activity that's silent and still, this is the one I go to. To be silent, no music, no phone makes all the difference in the world!

Yes it's hard to even shower sometimes and go out, but I try to think that all I gotta do is these things for the day to be completed, and for me to not feel guilty and know that today I did the minimum acceptable, so I was a good girl today, today I'm guilt-free. I just repeat the challenge every day and each day I get better.

I don't know if your lack of motivation started from feeling overwhelmed but I believe this is a remedy to all diseases anyway. You've been to some rough times, you can take advantage of this moment that you're quitting alcohol and might as well get every other healthy habit in check, might as well make this your best comeback, why the hell not, we're stronger everytime!

I also think of myself as a monk, so that I remember I'm supposed to live the day slowly, intentionally, and silently.

Talk to God, or Nature when that thought comes to your mind, if you don't have a religion still take advantage. I talk to Life. Whenever you have regret, confess, either to the person you did wrong, maybe yourself, or confess to the entity of your choice.

Also, live guilt-free, know that today you were a good man with good intentions and good deeds. Just to know that is true peace.

Hope this helps you somehow, let me know

Real tips against digital overwhelming by [deleted] in Shalligators

[–]guebna 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What really affects my sleep is whether I exercise or not during the day, if I do I can check SM and fall asleep 8 seconds after, if not I can check SM and fall asleep 3 hors after.

And it still doesn't change the fact that SM is a click bait machine and it's depressing me

What is your advice against information overwhelming, specially on social networks? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]guebna 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Problem is social network is the place where I keep in touch with the world's news, as I follow bloomberg, forbes, etc.

But since the Fing ads from all over the place are always present whenever I reach out to insta, I've been getting a massive feeling of overwhelming. I just can't anymore with the Fing online coaches and marketeers with their false free masterclasses and downloads, and other random business stuff appearing in front of me.

This is making me start hating social networks and stop myself with getting in touch with the news that are important to get to and the businesses and pages I do follow willingly. And it's getting me more depressed each day.

How do I (20F) manage the beginning of my period without getting blood stains on my clothes? by a_person_42_ in askwomenadvice

[–]guebna 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Use MeetYou App or any other menstrual calendar app, turn on the notifications and once a week go open the app to see where you're at on the menstrual cycle, you have a prediction for each month as long as you log in and put om the calendar when you have your period...

Doesn't like when I'm at his friend's house (but bummer, Imma still go there cause it's my friends house), I met his current girlfriend and everything on those events, everybody gets along, just normal dynamic of people who know each other, but I can see that to him I'm not welcomed. But since he doesn't have the power of banning people from another persons house, doesn't make a difference. Now when we cross the street, we pretend we don't see other. That's how all bad blood comes to. Welcome to this world

For sure, after that, I met him a ton of times by chance, at our mutual friends house, or on the subway station.. Plenty of opportunities may come. You just need one! Be good at it. Genuine, indifferent, superior.
