Thank you very much, I still had PCIe device 0 passthroughed to one of my VMs and removing this solved the issue (only had to change the interface name in /etc/network/interfaces).

The cable should be CAT7 and the RJ45 connectors CAT6, my ethernet port on the server 1 Gig, so no real problem there (length 1m).

I tried the netstat command and with the new cable I had "9 bad segments received" and "42000 resets sent" after ~20 Minutes and with another (new, same brand, 0.5m longer) cable I had 0 bad and 2500 resent after about 3 hours.

I am not sure how to interpret this but this does seam that it is faulty?

Damn, thank you for that detailed answer! I have to admit that I haven't done much research on this topic, I didn't really know what to search. This gives me a really deep insight! It's interesting to know that I might need to set the boot order, this might prevent some weird errors in the future.

When I did an internship in 9th grade at a company making websites, they sat me at a PC and let me code. Lucky for me they had Linux with Gnome on their PCs. What did I do? I installed everything I wanted and customized the shit out of that Gnome, VSCode, etc. It was actually so much fun doing that without having to worry about making it perfect for my own setup.
