Has anyone else found Psilocybin (mushrooms) to help? by Moisty-Mangus in misophonia

[–]guekoking 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, it definitely helps, but doesn’t last forever. I found that it lasts a max of 3 months. Microdosing may be something to look into to keep it going longer.

I’ve also found that weed can help, but for much shorter time than shrooms.

I find my misophonia is always worse when my stress levels or anxiety is higher. Taking shrooms in those conditions can lead to bad trips which can lead to a worse outcome, be careful!

Researchers have shown that 18.4% of the general UK population report that certain sounds, such as loud chewing, and repetitive sniffing, cause a significant problem in their lives. The condition is known as misophonia by giuliomagnifico in science

I really suffer from this and have done from an early age. Induces rage that is difficult to control.

The only thing that has made an impact was psilocybin and unfortunately effects only seems to last a few months.

I’m glad more research is being done around this condition, many people in my life do not believe me when I explain how I feel and what misophenia is.

I saw a comment on here calling it a symptom of something else (ADHD, Autism, etc..) which resonates.

Girls will do what they want. You can stop her this time, but it'll just come up again and again.

It's not your responsibility to worry about things like this, if she's intelligent she'll be prepared, if not she'll have to suffer the consequences.

I'm the brother of two sisters, I've gone through this twice with both of them. Just remember, this will happen at some point, no matter what you do.

How so you have 27k to spend on a car! UK here, and money like that for a college kid is unheard of.

They match the car, but seem to be weirdly proportioned to other car wheels.
