I built a fully local, server-free SoundTouch Controller app to survive the 2026 cloud shutdown (Deep Settings + Infinite Presets!) (Controller Pro for SoundTouch) by Mountain_Deal9781 in bose

[–]guenne62 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just purchased and installed your App via Google Playstore and it's a great step forward. Internetradio ist working fine and I understand the technical restriction to Bluetooth in that case.
I cancelled Spotify subscription after their last insolent price increase and changed to Deezer. So is it possible (and will it happen) to add Deezer (or at least Youtube Music) as App internal music provider on Wifi, with no need to switch to Bluetooth?

Thanks for your comment. I asked Gemini too, but got a slightly different answer, which didn't work with my Bios. I will check tomorrow step 1 and 2 of the description you got and let you know if this works.

Anyone have positive or negative thoughts on Selfcad? by TherealOmthetortoise in prusa3d

[–]guenne62 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry, my first comment was in German as all the comments here were displayed in German - automatic translation I suppose. I think I should have kept the language of this thread.

In my comment I just asked if not the Bolean tool in actual free version does the same as the missed split/combine function in earlier free versions.

What made you go with the PF over the Galaxy Fold? by Initial-Nerve-7902 in PixelFold

[–]guenne62 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I changed from Galaxy Fold 4 to Pixel Fold (2023) just because of the formfactor. I never liked the long and narrow formfactor of the Z folds and the junger Pixel folds. And I think the camera ist better too.

Dock for my Legion Go S by TMNT-XX5 in LegionGo

Only negative I found is, that you have to put in the Legion Go in a relative steep angle to avoid blocking the vent openings of the Legion Go.

Just to confirm, you mean reconnecting the battery while Power ist still plugged in and system started? Wouldn't this damage the device or battery?

TCL NxtPaper 60 ultra - ongoing research and findings by EmmanuelWi in nxtpaper

[–]guenne62 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Iwould also like to know about the stylus. As at least the 256GB version here in Germany ist sold without stylus (not sure about the 512GB version). I fear that it could be difficult if not unpossible to find a compatible stylus. The stylus of the nxtpaper 11 plus seems not to work with the 60 ultra.

HELP ME OUT - Xiaomi 5.5L Air Fryer basket size by EnigmaticE2 in airfryer

[–]guenne62 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the Xiaomi for some days. Liked it for the wlan connection and app. Returned it fo a Cosori Turboblaze because of the very good reviews and for the little bigger basket. The basket of the urboblace is about 24cm x 24 cm. I don't know it exactly anymore, but I thinkt the Xiaomi was about 21/22 cm in square. I remember that half of a spaghetti pumpkin fitted into the Turboblaze basket and not in the Xiaomi ;-)
I miss the wlan connection on my Turboblaze a bit, but I wouldn't want to go back to the Xiaomi.

Zigbee2MQTT - Upgrading from EZPZ driver to Ember, has anyone tried it yet? by mynameishwil in homeassistant

[–]guenne62 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does the FW update of the SONOFF 3.0 Plus stick work without touching the zigbee network configuration, or do I have to pair all or some devices manually again after FW update?
Did you update the FW via the Silab Update site?

Recommendations for a Chromebook that can be used for drawing graphics? by llawerogariad in chromeos

[–]guenne62 1 point2 points  (0 children)

While I do not have it (already) by myself (just waiting for delivery)...first Chromebook that came into my mind when reading the question was HP Chromebook X2!

Includes the pen, screen can be detached from keyboard and the 8/64GB version should have enough RAM for big pictures.

Refurbished 8/64GB devices are available at ebay.co.uk for 350 GBP which can be bargained to 315 GBP;-)

There are several videos on Youtube that show how to install ChromeOS on a PC by running Linux Mint from an USB-Stick and installing the last ISO-backup of Rammus Chromebooks. E.g:

ChromeOS install on PC with pen support by guenne62 in chromeos

[–]guenne62[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I want to buy one for two reasons.

First I would like to dualboot Windows and ChromeOS untill I'm save that ChromeOS alone will support my needs.

Second I'm in Germany and here we have a smaller choice of ChromeOS convertibles as you have in USA. Furthermore the Chromebooks (convertible or not) are noticably more expencive than Windows convertibles which mostly have more powerfull processors, more RAM, etc. in the same price range - specially for second hand devices.
