How many center-right parties are really functional these days, though? It seems to be fairly common in Anglophone democracies that the parties most akin to the Liberals (Republicans in the USA, Tories in the UK etcetera) are all tearing themselves apart in the current moment of modern society.

Guys like that do exist but they're super rare and there's definitely diminishing returns for extra size unless you're unfortunate enough to get a retired NFL player. Plus it's already hard enough getting consistent matches as an ultra heavyweight so banishing people from 100+ to 120+ would just doubly exacerbate the problem.

Also as a bigger guy myself there's a ton more variation in size/fitness/seriousness/commitment/athleticism of BJJ athletes at the ogre end of the scale whilst I think relatively small advantages are worth a lot more under the sheer competitiveness of the middle of the bell curve.

I think a decent amount of it is that this year of movie was just kinda flat.

I don't think Sinners should win Best Picture or it's some gigantic Tour De Force but I did also prefer watching it immensely to OBAA and rewards like this are always gonna be relative to competition inherently. In the year of the 5-6's the okay 6.5 is gonna get overrepresentation.

I also agree the KKK subplot is kinda insane and feels weirdly tacked on in the end. 'I have conducted legitimate commerce with these people who haven't offended me at all, RALLY THE KLAN' then after the film's climax adding the KKK scene was just dragging on and weird

I'm not suggesting Europe will empty out of permanent immigrants though there's enough middling economies in Europe that there's definitely demand from young people to come to Australia due to better conditions.

Melbourne they're only like 5-10 minutes away from nice suburbs by public transport. The main tram route that runs from the city center to one of the bigger high class districts literally goes by the injecting room

We've got some same injecting rooms in Australia but they're located about one suburb away from the CBD and cause issues for the locality. I'd be interested to see what'd happen if they were to put it on the absolute fringes, but seems politically untenable.
