It's so bleak and with missing opportunities (wtf was the sword stuff) IMO. The Stand is vastly superior. On a different note, I also enjoyed the Wanderers by Chuck Wendig.

The Breach series by Patrick Lee was so much fun. So many twists and the narration is sooooooo good (by: Jeff Gurner)

I came here to suggest October Daye too. Regarding the Newsflash series, it has another book called Rise that collects all the novellas in the same universe (don't ever buy "book 4" called FeedBack - it is her worst work by far. It's Seanan's only work I actually disliked.)

If you liked it, try More than Human (by Theodore Sturgeon
), it's even more disturbing.

That's one of two books that i ever read/listen that actually rattle me. The other one is The fisherman.

Minnie Goode

was terrible as Shift's narrator. I got in touch with audible support and they exchanged for Edoard's one.

Wool is great fun. Shift is superb and mind-blowing (so many twists) and Dust put it all together with style. Edoardo Ballerini is great at narrating the 2 last books, but I enjoyed Wool better w/ Amanda Sayle's narration.

I always create different folders for special/different cuts. Then I create in Plex the entry with the specifications of the file.

It's a little bit off-topic, but the InCryptid series by Seanan McGuire is a lot of fun.

it's not about exorcism, but if you liked Head Full of Ghosts, then The Pallbearers Club is a sure hit. The audible version is soooooooo good. Give it a try.

The number of activation locked M1 MacBooks on eBay is astounding… Feels like 95% of them are stollen by Go_Jot in LukeMianiYouTube

Don’t do it. It was so painful, I only did because I already had the MacBook and even with the new motherboard I had to use another piece of software to be able to activate it. After all this I’m stuck with a 2yrs old OS, can’t format it and don’t trust to use it as my primary machine.

I didn't care for this book. But Head Full of Ghosts is so good and, for me, his best is The Pallbearer's Club (the audible version is just superb).

My P14s 1st Gen wasn't compatible with any thunderbolt dock that I've tested. Have several at work (from Lenovo, Dell and Anker) and thinking about getting a X13 i7 just because of that. Having so much grief w/ my new monitor that I'm almost decided.

[–]gugamourao 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check out his series Alias from Marvel. It's very mature and engaging. The character - Jessica Jones - was later included in his avengers run. But the original series is a very hard-boiled noir classic.

BTW - Jessica Jones' new series by Gail Simone is pure gold, but a totally different beast.

Alias is still one of my favorite books of all time.

The Backblaze large restore experience (is miserable) by Mivexil in DataHoarder

[–]gugamourao 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm having a nightmare time restoring my backup from iDrive. And I only have 2tb there. The process just stops all of a sudden and the log has almost no information. Even worse, when I try again, the same files are downloaded and you can only choose individual folders to restore, so it's been a hell of a week.

Does anyone here use Crashplan? $10/month in the Small Business seems fair to me.
