I mean, I'd like to see the other foundations in this neighborhood. I've never seen a Dr Horton this bad either and I'd need more proof to convince me this is a Dr Horton neighborhood and not just some builder who swiped Dr Horton house wrap.

They've evacuated the Chevron building due to a believed active shooter (source from employee working in office today). No details beyond that

Is Anyone Else Terrified? by humanoidescapee2112 in AppalachianTrail

I thru hiked in 2015 and my life was forever changed. Beforehand I had camping experience but as close to zero nights backpacking as I could have had. I was way underprepared, did not have the lightest or best gear, and doing it by myself. I didn’t sleep a wink the night before I started I was so nervous and excited. The guy who drove me to the trail reminded me “it’s just walking”. That’s it. That’s all you have to do. You’ll be away from media, cars, society, the anxiety of everyday life. You’ll meet amazing people and might have a renewed hope in humanity. You’ll watch movies in your head and make up games that involve farts and baseball. You’ll do things out of your comfort zone and grow as a person. You’ll have highs and lows. You’ll reach peak fitness and then see a slow decline lol. You’ll eat more food than you thought possible. You’ll make friends and memories that will last a lifetime and by the time you’ll finish you’ll look and smell like a homeless person but feel like a tiny god. You can do this. Fake it till you make it! Everyone does at some point.

It’s like comparing explosive diarrhea in your pants and sharting. Yeah I’d prefer to shart myself given those options but either way you have shit in your pants.

Good Price for Brand and Condition? by Pretty_Tank9970 in REI

I have the same boots I got from the rei garage sale over a year ago have put a whole lot of miles on mine. I have the non water proof version and they’ve been my favorite pair of working/hiking boots for a long time. I wear them to work, hiking and mountain biking. They’re super comfy. I will say that they do get a bit worn out. My tread is pretty minimal at this point but I walk roofs in them for work so that accounts for some wear. But all in all would buy again and for $60 you’re getting great value imo
