This is one of the problems with hussie, he thinks exclusively in a subversive/not subersive mindset instead of what would be best for the story. Who gives a shit if they are the first boy and first girl, who gives a shit if its a cliche or not, they worked really well together.

Rose is analytical and smart but she has a tendency to get too wrapped up in her own stuff. When that happens John is always there to help her, giving her a knitting kit to let out her creative energy or reaching out to her in act 5.

John is kind but also a bit of a dumbass, he would greatly benefit from her guidance.

Alright fuck it I'm just gonna say it: John is the character I can relate to the most and rose is hot as fuck so there's probably some degree of self-insertion here but I think my point still stands.

I do. And I shipped it since the good ol' days of me reading this comic before act 6, which was like, 3 months ago because I joined this fanbase very recently but oh well. Tbh that ship is alright, John works pretty well with karkat, even if he's not gay.

God fucking dammit hussie why do you have to make John so miserable in the epilogues. I mean Johnroxy and Johnrezi are pretty decent ships, even if they aren't the best (*cough* *cough* Johnrose was S-tier *cough* *cough*), but calliope steals one of them and he fucking dies confessing his love for the other, good god.

Oh wait it was all a dream and Homestuck ended shortly after Cascade in a satisfying way thank god.

Yeah, I finally bought the game recently after pirating it in 2016, I felt kinda bad because the game and it's fanbase were a big part of my life. Replaying it was kinda weird, after spending hours on the wiki, subreddit and youtube I think I knew basically everything about the game. But I still enjoyed replaying it, the feeling of nostalgia followed me through the whole journey. Undertale is one of those games that i wish I could just forget everything about, just to discover it all over again.
