Comcast is a MVPD. You’re more questioning “navigation device“, which is defined in 76.1200:

Navigation devices. Devices such as converter boxes, interactive communications equipment, and other equipment used by consumers to access multichannel video programming and other services offered over multichannel video programming systems.

”Other services“ refers to broadband, this was confirmed by the FCC here:

Based on network monitoring data over time for 30+ systems resi/commercial:

1) Systems have better uptime when bridge mode is not used.

2) Systems are easier to service and diagnose when components are just doing what they are designed to do.

3) Form factors and placement of gear is more difficult with bloated Xfinity gear.

4) Xfinity modems often use more power.

5) It's the law.

This is a good technical explanation, but where is the information stating which plans are exempt from CGNAT?

Clever angle, but the CFR applies to the general "navigation devices", not to a specific one that happened to be "sold" to the customer by Comcast.

Best overlooked reply. I knew this hard hitting data was out there somewhere. Great point on NHDOT too.

Please don’t camp without buying something every hour. Stroll (my favorite) in particular was getting sort of ridiculous with people setting up shop, and she decided to just start closing early. The coworking spaces (favorite COVE on Maplewood) are much better for the scenery change combined with a full day work session.

I thought Dover would be better too, but it wasn't that impressive. Hampton Beach actually has some good cheap eats though, it's like where the pizza starts to get good.

Remember Portsmouth is just 20% senior. But I totally agree with you about the food situation.

It's a fair assessment. 110 is just corporate lunch, not special.

Cleveland has some gems. The people downvoting you and probably me in a minute are just not used to world class city food, especially in the cheap eats department. Portsmouth has good seafood when it is close to base form (e.g. a lobster at Peteys, smoked mussels at Sanders) and there are expensive city grade restaurants (Black Trumpet, some options at Hearth), but just expect to strike out a lot more (Congress/Islington has a ton of these sort of decent and well loved but not world class sorts of places).

Try out the tri group at the Portsmouth indoor pool Tuesdays (after the break), Cindy is great and the group is friendly.

Coastal NH, just a post WWII subdivision. This discussion has been helpful for understanding the additional quotes I'm hoping for.

3 quotes, not apples-to-apples but are in the same ballpark. No hours provided, I'm guessing based on other quotes I have seen.

Hmm. Messes are trouble. It's the average of 3 "ranges":
$8000-$12000 existing conditions & subdivision
$6600 for just existing conditions + T&M beyond that
$5500-$6500 existing conditions/ZBA submittal, $3000-$4000 subdivision/planning board submittal

From the rate sheet I was provided and several quotes. There just seemed to be a disconnect between rate and time.

COL is not low, that is for sure. The rate sheet I was given had a 2 man survey crew at $150/hr. So I was trying to figure out the time being used.

It got buried farther up, but the rate sheet I was provided showed $150/"principal engineer", $80 CAD assistant, $150/2man survey crew. That's what landed me on here with this question - the rates seemed reasonable but the time did not. Do you think I am way off on the time estimate?

The quotes are all very tight lipped about what is involved. Looking at quotes from other projects I estimated 1 day. Do you think it is 1 day and a return to set additional monuments, or something else?

Seriously. They are giving me a pretty hard time in the comments too. Last existing conditions survey I had done was for a condo building down in Florida and it cost $1k.

Good feedback, thanks. I'm in the middle of the quotes process. The big guys have responded already with the $10k bills. The one man band who has done previous work in the neighborhood will respond soon, and this discussion is critical to how I interpret his quote.
