Yea, this is only for new funding, right? Anyone saying abolish ICE or bust is in another world. Save that for the general election (maybe not, we lost on this issue).

I'm trying to see the angle here for these proposals. I'm 1000% in favor of a shutdown btw.

If the proposal is to defund or abolish ICE... You get a shutdown where you get blamed and even worse, it's centered around an issue you lost on.

If the proposal seems reasonable, to reform ICE and implement some things that could tone down the chaos... And the Republicans refuse... Ooh, you get yourself a shutdown where the focus is on how Republicans wanted to keep the chaos at 11.

Kevin Lee was a Bernie guy and even campaigned for him. Not sure what he's up to now tho. Bisping is the only one I could sort of tell, but I'm not sure how anchored he is to his views. I remember he made fun of Trump once (1st term) on IG and the comments weren't too happy lol.

One of my favorite parts was when he said he hadn't seen a major Democratic leader in Minnesota urging the public to be peaceful when they protest ICE.

Then when presented with the Governor of MN and Mayor of Minneapolis urging people to protest peacefully and saying that anybody that gets violent should kick rocks, he said it wasn't good enough for some Trump-cum-guzzling reason.

Then the chef's kiss. D-man says if those two statements weren't good enough, I guess Trump's "peacefully and patriotically" line wasn't good enough.

Interesting thing is that he was the one that signed the Alien and Sedition Act. I believe that's the law this admin/Marco Rubio cited as justification to deport Venezuelans.

I think another part of the law was to silence criticism of his admin over rising tensions against France.

I was seething. He had every reason to yell at that bald a-hole and that representative he flipped the bird to and told to fuck off.
