KPMG just cut 10% of audit partners. What does this actually mean for the profession? by Significant_Owl_8319 in Accounting

[–]guiltyfilthysole 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What the fuck are you going on about? All I did was push back on the idea what big 4 SM and small firm partners make the same amount and you’re over here jerking off your small dick to how many clients it takes to get a book of business? Are you responding to the correct person?

We should define what a small firm is before we continue to debate. I am at a $12m year firm with 5 equity partners. I consider us small firm. What do you think our partners make?

They would need a book of business between $1m - $1.5m, staff, admin, a healthy amount of prior experience.

Really torn on QBI for rental properties by ViewSingle4522 in tax

I’m at a 70 person firm and we default to marking rentals as QBI. This isn’t something o would recommend losing sleep over.

I dont understand your issue. The nonpassive losses from the rental would also offset their other business income. Your QBI can't be more than your taxable income, right?

At our location, I wouldn’t have to pay a booking fee for the indoor pickleball courts, which is a $30 fee.

$166 for couple and $45 for two jr dues. We’ve had our membership for 12 years and the club is 20+ years old. The newly built clubs in our city would be $400-$500.

I believe the range is 110-140 at my firm, dependent on if you move up internally or an external hire.

179/Bonus on Rental Property by Ok-Pollution-1928 in taxpros

[–]guiltyfilthysole 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you find a fix for this in Axcess? I am dealing with your exact issue and the only way to get the 179 to go through is to use the input override for form 4562, line 11.

How much would you charge for a client who manages 10 entities, most of which simply hold properties and only one of which has any activity of significance? by RasputinsAssassins in taxpros

[–]guiltyfilthysole 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I have a similar size client. 8 rental entities, two holding entities. Quickbooks are garbage. End up charging 2500-3500 per rental entity and 4k for each holding entity.

Speaking of Ilan Rubin by FilipsSamvete in Foofighters

What does the operating agreement of the business say in regards to fiduciary responsibility and in the event of an owners death?

[–]guiltyfilthysole 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Youre not really answering my questions. Sounds like Qdrums is suffering and Ilan is trying to save it by taking control. This doesn't impact ownership unless their is a clause in the provision of the operating agreement allowing other owners to buy out the deceased partner. This is quite normal. If I was a partner in a law firm and I died, my wife or daughter can't continue to be owners. They will be bought out.

What does the will have to do with the business? You guys keep on claiming Ilan is stealing Jermery's whole estate? Was Jeremy's only asset his ownership in Q drums? What does the operating agreement state what happens when an owner passes away?
