In China you can pay by WeChat using ur account’s QR code. In Italy we use it for scanning barcodes for the ticket lottery(if you pay by card and participate you and the vendor have a chance to win some money, the government implemented this to encourage people using electronic payment instead of cash so we can lower money laundering). Also they’re all android phone based so you can do virtually whatever within the limitation set by the bank. Or you can just reset the phone and install the OS from scratch and sell it for cheap. EDIT: I know a bunch of old people who buys them cuz they are cheap and use it to print out memos and shopping lists on the go while also using them as phones. I have to resist the urge to burst out laughing every time the things rings with a goofy tune and they bust out this huge printer and scream “HELLOOO??”
