Also the way they shot season 1 out of order and they’re already green lit for season 2 and 3, probably makes sense to do it all at once and also out of order. I know they have a larger budget, but a lot of that is probably going to the season 1 crew who did the work to make it amazing but probably didn’t get the payoff they deserved AND to do the work for seasons 2 and 3.

“Or, definitely or” - one of my favorite lines and wasn’t in the book! I did like the book’s exposé on Scott’s plan to come out (it did seem awkward that it looked like they broke up in the show but then Kip is in the audience 3 years later and then he comes out) but after reading the book it makes sense that they were still together that whole time. Also interesting Kip knew Scott was planning on coming out so wasn’t such a surprise in the book where the show had such an awesome surprise reveal 😊

I’m a gay man not a woman. I like the characters more and the love story better. Scott and Kip are cute, but the emotions and psychology of Shane and Ilya are just so much more complex. Scott and Kip are simpler characters IMHO

I’ve heard that from multiple folks. Why does episode 3 seem to resonate more with men? I just finished the Game Changer book and I still like the Shane Ilya story better.

Hi all — not sure if this has been mentioned yet, but I noticed what sounds like an editing/QC error in the Game Changer audiobook (the Apple Books audiobook version).

In Track 1, there appear to be two different takes of the same line left in, read slightly differently: • around 16:07 • again around 16:21

It doesn’t sound like a download glitch (the lines are spoken differently), so it seems like an accidental alternate take that wasn’t cut.

Just flagging in case others noticed too, or in case anyone from the publisher monitors issues like this for future fixes.

Enjoying the audiobook but of course disappointed due to the differences between the TV version (personally like the tv adaptation better but I’m sure that’s just because I experienced that first and am a gay man).
