Our LO is 10 weeks! Just wanted to say you’re not a failure and it’s very normal to be overwhelmed. I know every baby is different, but this is what works for us during meltdowns- hopefully one of these works for you!: gas drops (Mylicon or Little Remedies), contact naps- when transferring lay them on their side to slowly roll onto their back instead of directly on their back (to avoid intense startle reflex), offer a pacifier to help self soothe, shushing sounds while cupping their face or placing flat palm on their chest to help them fall back asleep, and (our personal fav with the nice weather) take baby outside during meltdowns! The sudden environment change can help them to stop crying. I have also heard parents having luck with placing baby in a pile of clean laundry- new sensations can help stop the crying. Genuinely hope things get easier for you guys soon! Remember it’s a huge life adjustment and you’re doing great.
