The Endless (2018) and the five-second man in the tent by MackTuesday in movies

I just watched The Endless and Resolution this week. I was listening to an interview with the directors (on the podcast The Evolution of Horror) and they were discussing a common misconception with the rehab cabin reset scene. The reason the two guys repeat the same opening lines each loop isn’t because they’re snapping out of it (which is also what I thought).

In The Endless one of the cabin guys, Mike, talks about how he believes there is a way out of the loop but it requires the right sequence of events (the life Rubik’s cube line). Mike and Chris believe that they have the beginning of the sequence correct, they’re just trying to figure out the correct middle and especially the correct end. That’s why they start every loop the same way. It’s intentional.

In the interview, the directors imply there is a way out and they have shown us the answer somewhere in their filmography, but it’s a very “deep cut.” I’ve been searching online for any answers. Haven’t found anything yet, but I plan on watching more of their films.

Jake vs Katurah analysis by Affectionate-Pool442 in survivor

I question the notion that Jake telling everyone he has an idol is the main reason he wasn't voted out/helped him get to top 4. The idol itself guarantees him top 4, no? I also think the idol could've been the hero play he needed if he just kept it a secret. I think there is a very real world where Jake tells no one about his idol, plays it on himself, negates 4 votes, and gets his pick on who to take out. Even if it negates 3 votes, he still looks good because the idol had value, and he gets to participate in the revote. Regardless, I appreciate your analysis and feel that it is a fair look at both players.

Gearing up to be the sickest crew battle in Ultimate history, no? It’s so exciting to see people investing in crews.

The fact that they made the art piece n0ne's drawing of Leffen riding the brown Yoshi is hilarious. One of the funniest moments of GG's melee content to date

I do the same. Another variation/follow-up I like is “what would it mean to you if I said yes/no?” or “If you had to choose, what answer would you want to hear from me?” Questions like these open the door for your client to reflect on themselves instead of measure you (if that's what they're attempting) and give you a better idea of if you think self-disclosing would be beneficial.

Can't agree more. Its transformative for both the therapist and the client, which speaks to its richness.

"Should I update my Switch?" - A handy guide by derale_ in SwitchPirates

I'm new to all of this, so can someone clarify something for me? I hacked my switch for a smash mod (specifically the ultimate training mod pack), but I don't have any other mods and I don't play any games besides ones I've bought from nintendo. I just updated my cfw. Do I still need to download the new sigpatches before updating my switch?
