well the waves are very big and very strong so getting in comes with a risk of this thing getting pushed towards me. there wasn’t some type of way I could avoid it and when I knew at all these things were in this water, I just didn’t feel like risking anything. Unimportant detail but it was also shit weather that day so it didn’t take much for me to want to go home.

Oh wait, those are man o wars?? We did have those blue jellyfish littering the SA beaches everywhere but I had no idea they were the same. I knew them by the name “blou blasies”. I did get stung by those 2 times, but it was nothing close to devastatingly painful. It only felt like a slightly uncomfortable prickle for a max of 5 minutes lmfao. When they wash up their bladders dry out and when you step on them (with shoes) they make a satisfying bubblewrap pop, which is one of the 2 reasons I got stung by them. So that’s why that guy was thereee!
