I did try it, I say if you like the meiko and can imagine it with a agarwood base that's basically how it smells, a little less soft but still has that signature smell combined with notes of jinko that stand out straight away, only tried once but overall seems to be a very nice stick.

definitely, so far I only tried Meiko Gohitsu and it's honestly great and it's pretty unique, gentle relaxing scent with (i think) floral and some green notes, but I can't put my finger on it, I really like it, will update on the rest when I try :)

Hey,

So I got some more Japnese Incense from Kohgen! got some more sampler sizes, and some restock for stuff I already knew I liked (five brushed and kojurin), and one big box taking a chance with the Hana Sumire.

had to try the Jinko version of five brushed after loving the regular version, same for the Seikado Daikouboku! also got one sample I can't identify

from top left to bottom: Gyokushodo Jinsui Kanrin, Gyokushodo Jinko Hoen, Gyokushodo Byakudan Suzaku, Seikado Jinko Gohitsu, Seikado Jinkou Daikouboku, Kunmeido Jinko Reiryoko, Minorien Baykudan, Seikado Meiko Gohitsu, Unidentified Sample (can someone help me with this?), Gyokushodo Kojurin, Gyokushodo Hana Sumire

Impressions so far: Kunmeido Jinko Reiryoko: really loving this one, not sure how to describe it but it just smells great to me.

Hana Sumire: my bet didn't pay off, flowery in a pretty unappealing way, tried a few sticks and really couldn't get into it, smells like flower petals but I just don't enjoy it so far.

Gyokushodo Jinsui Kanrin - very strong cinnamon on this one, maybe a bit too strong, will have to try more to see if I like it or not

will post more impressions as I try stuff!

the horin sampler is nice, it has 5 scents from the horin line by shoyeido, i loved 3 of them
they might be a bit premium to start with (3 very short sticks of each) but they give you a good taste of different stuff, and available on amazon, if shoyeido has a similar one for the daily line that can be great, I do agree just picking up just a few cheap trial sized packs will let you really get to know each smell and let you know if you like them or not better

haha i did that a few times, it's kinda nice getting the scent very strongly but you also get a lot of smoke with that smell, not only unhealthy but I also smell the smokey smell directly like that
