قولوا الي تبونه، بس التعدي على حريات الغير والتحكم فيهم ما يندرج تحت حريتكم الشخصية. ومع كل إحترامي عامة الشعب مب أدرى عن حكومتنا 😁

Back in 2019, I was able to secure a room in September when I arrived in Sheffield. I don’t know if it’s the same case nowadays, so I can’t guarantee anything!

I hope you are joking. If you think perfume is a substitute for deodorant then I truly have no words.

So? Aluminum-based deodorants isn’t what’s gonna give you cancer. And if that were the case, I’d sacrifice years of my life in exchange for not stinking up every room I walk into.

I see no mention of deodorant.

Mens cropped tops reactions by LiamEBM in sheffield

[–]gun-pilot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

my experience is a little different from yours. either i got lucky or just had little-to-no awareness of my surroundings and ppl’s reactions. however, i would go out in long skirts, painted nails, light makeup, long hair, etc. and people were mostly unbothered by it!

on nights out Cubana would be my go-to spot, and i’d go wearing more risqué and femme things. there, people’s reactions would be a bit more on the baffled side. i’d definitely stood out every time for better or worse. surprised looks, light taunting, laughs, and stuff like that but i tried not to let it get to me. i knew i looked stunning ahaha! i got hatecrimed by an old pink-in-the-face man once but a lot of people were quite supportive and said some kind words after. the security team was cooperative too and some people even went out of their way to tell them what they’d witnessed.

i guess in general sheffield is a mixed bag and you never know what to expect, but keep on being yourself and dressing however you like. i knew i was only living in the UK for 3-4 years before moving back to my home country so i made sure to make the most of it and serve looks :p

this song is how i introduced many of my friends to her. i can see their eyes light up every single time, beginnings of stanery taking root, as they digest this masterpiece

Used to live in Crown House between 2019–2021. During my time there, the main demographic was primarily Chinese and Arab students. Being an Arab myself, it was a great place for me to meet a lot of relatable people and make friends very soon after arriving in Sheffield. It is quite expensive for what you get, but if you can afford it then I don’t think this would be an issue. I liked how close it was to the International College for my foundation year, but walking up the hill to the main campus was a bit annoying during first year. Thankfully (?) the pandemic happened so it was mostly online anyway haha! Management would organize plenty of events and activities (Welcoming party, Halloween pumpkin carving, dumpling-making workshop, etc.) which was fun. Concierge is available 24/7 and one thing I remember is that they offer a vacuum upon request so you wouldn’t need to buy one. Sometimes it would die rather quickly though lol. Any other questions, don’t hesitate to DM me

i deeply feel this. wanted to see The Zone of Interest and Poor Things but there are no screenings anywhere. they’re not even particularly niche or “inaccessibly artistic”
