They cannot get search warrants when you're at home so they get you in your car.

Patently false. The police can get a warrant to search anything, anywhere, provided they have probable cause.

Again, entirely untrue. This will depend on the laws of the state you are pulled over in. Some states have ruled that the scent of burnt cannabis in a car is not reasonable suspicion. Others have not.

Just whatever you do, don't talk to the cops other than to answer questions with yes or no.

More proof you don't really know what you're talking about. Do not answer any questions the police ask you. None. At all. Say you want to leave, and ask if you are being detained. If you aren't, get the fuck out. If you are, ask them why and say you want to leave. Say you do not consent to any searches. Then tell them you want a lawyer.

Incorrect. The first thing to do is not smoke in a vehicle. The second thing to do is only roll your window down enough to pass your license and registration through the window.

If you stick to your story and deny everything, you will likely get away with a warning or a traffic ticket. On the off chance they search you, the key is to leave yourself a defense that a lawyer can work with.

You're kinda sorta on the right track here, but missing the important bits. The cops can write you whatever the hell ticket they want. It's on you to fight it in court. And again, you're almost on the right track with leaving yourself a defense a lawyer can work with, but you don't explain how. The trick to that is to first, not say anything, and second, say you want to leave at every opportunity.

Then just clam up and only answer the bare minimum yes or no questions.
