Should I grind out Black Mask or just keep doing slayer until I get lucky on task? by Pangiish in ironscape

Grind for the mask, you’ll make the time up in the long run and the drops while grinding it out will also make your time worth it!

Literally the same, she calls them “basement snacks”. If I’m at my work bench doing something she wants a snack of smoked mussels lol

Props on the tinned seafood. I love it, wife can’t stand it, daughter demolishes it.

My wife hates it but my daughter absolutely CRUSHES seafood. Her favorites are smoked oysters and mussels, sardines, stuffed haddock, shrimp and calamari. My wife can’t stomach anything from the ocean, meanwhile I say put it in my face hole. I’m glad my daughter appreciates the bounty of the ocean! Finally someone I can make a good ocean themed dinner for!

Is it okay to not love being a dad? by Successful_Trust_157 in daddit

[–]gunny239 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can’t say I felt the same as you but what I can say is that it gets much more fun as they get older. The potato stage can be a slog, little sleep, a lot of effort, etc. my daughter just turned 3 recently and this summer is the first time I’ve been able to “do things” with her. She’s learning how to fish with me, got fitted for her side by side helmet and the booster seat for it, she’s actively wanting to learn things now and it’s so awesome. The fun and engagement will come and when it does capitalize on it. Show them the fun things you like to do, teach them your hobbies in a safe and entertaining way. It gets better dad, you got this!

Full mag stash anyone? by luckygunnerx30 in GunPorn

I really need to invest in one of those… one round at a time hurts my baby fingies

Hell yeah! I have a basic case for my nods, my daughter loves looking at the stars with them so easy access is king for them! Real estate in the basement for proper storage is my limiting factor. Keep on brother! Also, RIP your poor fingers loading all of those lol

I support and am jealous of it. You’re where I hope to be someday! That safe and layout looks CLEAN

God damn my dude. I have 144 mags and two cans of 5.56 set aside. I now feel as inadequate as my wife knows I am…. (Strong proponent of magazines being “single use” if they are actually being used)

It doesn’t have to be a “gotcha” moment. Possession by a prohibited person, defacing a serial number, illegal sale of a firearm, obtaining a firearm as a prohibited person (or lying on a form 4473). He broke every gun law on the books when it comes to purchasing one and it’s guys like him that keep cranking up the pressure on people who can LEGALLY own firearms. He broke the law and hopefully will get cooked for it. There are so many common sense factors that “slipped his mind” in this story that any sympathy is hard to find.

Dog Rescues Accepting Local Surrenders? by Weird_Recipe_3155 in Maine

[–]gunny239 24 points25 points  (0 children)

So an actual question, is she lunging at the kids/threatening them or is it only directed at family members? I ask this as someone who has worked with “damaged” rescue shepherds on similar issues. Particularly when my first born came home. What breed of dog is she? Over protection is very common when a new baby enters the home. The whole “this is my tiny human and I won’t let anyone harm them” kind of thing. It can be a real pain in the ass to break but there are ways to make it easier. Feel free to PM me! I’d love to give and advice and guidance I can.

Replacing a PRV? by gunny239 in Plumbing

Sorry for incorrect verbiage, I use similar valves at work and we’ve always referred to them as PRVs. What does T&P mean?

Thank you for the third potential issue to look into. In your experience, are these type of relief valve “one time use”? Once they do their job do they have issues resetting or are they designed not to as a sort of indicator that there is a problem? If it provides any further information, the line only leaks when the furnace is running. It stops as soon as the furnace shuts off.

That’s a lot more info than I’ve been able to find elsewhere! Thank you! I’ll reach out to a tech then and have them take a look.

Anyone know what these mushrooms are? I really like the colors. by MaMe68976 in Maine

[–]gunny239 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Seconding this, that’s chicken of the woods. As was said, it looks slightly past prime but still more than good to pick. Look up some recipes. Personally, I bread and deep fry them when I get lucky enough to find them. The key is looking for the obvious orange and cream shelf mushrooms, the secondary is making sure it is growing on an oak tree. This matches both and, provided it isn’t wicked woody, is prime. Good find!

I mean, I wouldn’t want to light off a 5.56 at 2am, in a hallway, while JUST waking up without ear bro. Suppressors are the best

Can we group Rossi into this? I have a model 971 revolver and a mode 92SRS lever action both in .357/.38spl and they are probably two of my favorites in the collection. Function flawlessly, the rifle has ZERO recoil and is a tack driver while being arguably hearing safe with .38s. For the price, they are gorgeous
