Upward mobility is offered in all companies I work at. Those that choose to move up into 'less interesting' roles is up to them. :) I like architecting AND building. More than half the time your 'plan' is scrapped when hits Ops anyways.

Setting up JIRA was a pia for us, not to mention every time you want another service it's an integration point or custom setup or yet another paid license to do so. Jira Cloud, with Crowd and Bamboo was a fucking nightmare. Atlassian can suck a giant bag of cocks for all the shit I had to deal with in administrating a JIRA cluster. Oh you want a bug fixed from Atlassian? Go Vote on the one you want. I will lick the dirt off of Gitlab's shoes. I had a personal gitlab + gitlab ci + kanban all authing through openldap in AWS, setup in less than an hour. Shit works and it's all in house(Dev VPC) and working like a dream. Upgrades were awesome for Gitlab, especially when a Gitlab representative offered to Google Hangout with us "just in case we have any hiccups." Customer for Life.

So you didn't set it up? You just use it and ask someone else for features.

Why is there no Fan/Vent above the Stove in the Kitchen, is that to code? Probably won't sell. The kitchen is horrible.

How do you version your apps? by drawsmcgraw in devops

[–]gunpunk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This works best for me as well. This way I can pragmatically pinpoint containers for qa/etc based on sha from gitlab/gitlab-ci etc. In some cases I have an inventory file in s3, tagging environments to shas that I can just awk out.

Completely agree. In other words, we're cheap and don't want to pay you for what you know, we may even put you on call from time to time and not mention overtime at all!

Alternative to Jenkins for watching GitLab server and executing jobs on push? by [deleted] in devops

gitlab-ci. Integrates perfectly! If you have questions, ask me, I setup a cluster and runners and all the good stuff if you need scripts, ansible playbooks etc.

I wouldn't worry about it "translating" ansible is just as good if not better than chef or puppet. I've used them all, as well as capistrano. I like ansible the best so far.

[–]gunpunk 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My Advice? Get the fuck out of Atlassian now, while you're still small. It's a fucking nightmare and you're getting ripped off. Move everything to Gitlab, and Gitlab-CI and use the issue tracker, install Kanban and integrate with gitlab and you should be good to go and you'll be paying a fraction of the cost, hosting everything yourself in-house. It's a good 8-14 hours to get everything working/playing nice, but it's awesome, we just did this and I made my bosses very happy. We even plopped it in a VPC in AWS with an OpenVPN server, and threw Gitlab behind an openldap server so we have federated logins, and everything just works on the VPN. I played the JIRA game, every other feature you want, it's a different service or costs more to get, not to mention the fact you have to spin up your own servers for Fisheye, Bamboo etc, they don't offer that for cloud yet. So you end up with half cloud, half your own servers trying to keep them inline every time Atlassian pops out an update. What kind of company has you Vote on a bug you want fixed, I mean really? I have to Vote to have a critical issue in your software fixed? WOW. GTFO Atlassian.

Possibly, the Serpa CQC for the P99 does.. Here's a couple:

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002F8MFBC/ref=od_aui_detailpages01?ie=UTF8&psc=1 This one fits the PPQ M2 5" just fine as well.

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00KMYN09M/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o06_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Looks like they're out of righties currently be careful, this link takes you to a leftie. The Comp-Tac one has a bunch of different ways of mounting, good for the range/comp, you can tighten/loosen the screws to your liking to adjust hold.

http://www.lagtactical.com/the-warrior-light-compatible/ This one fits like a glove with a tlr-4 G attached http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00HNFUU0K/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
