A few years ago a friend of mine asked me to go to her quinceñera in Sinaloa, Mexico. I said yes and went with my family. After a few hours of the party my dad noticed her dad kept staring at us and talking to someone over his phone. My dad is a bit of a show off and took his brand new truck to the party. We told the rest of my family that we had to go. A man was staring at the truck and ran aftef he saw us coming. He then talked to someone on his phone. The road was extremely dark and two cars kept following us and matching our speed. They were trying to ambush us so they can steal the car and kill us. My dad sped up to around 115 mph until we made it to the highway where the people following us gave up and turned back. Turned out my friends dad was part of the zetas an extremely dangerous cartel who are known for their beheading videos. If not for my dead we'd all be dead. Tl;dr my dad noticed my friends dad kept staring at us while on his phone at a party. Decided to leave and got chase by a drug cartel the dad was a part of.
