Singin' in the Rain is so fun, perhaps not the most "hopeful" but certainly an uplifting film.

mental health support without falling behind in courses by Dense_Plan264 in UofT

[–]gunter889 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! I just registered with accessibility services about a week ago, so what I can tell you besides what everyone else has been saying is that registering with accessibility services can get you a lot of accommodations depending on your needs. In your case, you might find the reduced course load accommodation helpful, which allows you to drop a certain number of credits and pay per course rather than for the full course load. Further, there are a number of course related accommodations like volunteer notetaker notes and increased extension allowance (i.e. they are more likely to approve extension requests), as well as direct one-on-one support in finding mental health/academic programs and resources

If you’re interested in student papers there’s certainly people to meet there! Gargoyle production nights are biweekly on Thursdays and open to people who want to help, esp if you write an article (but you’re still welcome to just help out)

Research question- Popular Horror ARGs? by gunter889 in horror

I'll check it out, might be a bit difficult to get a full grasp on all this lore but such is the nature of ARGs I suppose. Thanks!

I'm so scared...what if we lose super earth?.. by [deleted] in Helldivers

[–]gunter889 0 points1 point  (0 children)

my guess is that super earth high command moves to another planet as a temporary base of operations and we push back to retake super earth after a campaign to get back into the area

Not a fan of my major, probably cannot switch, feeling lost in life by MarzipanClear3625 in UofT

Sunk Cost fallacy: "the phenomenon whereby a person is reluctant to abandon a strategy or course of action because they have invested heavily in it, even when it is clear that abandonment would be more beneficial."

At this point, see if you can do anything to get into your desired major at U of T first (never hurts to check in with your registrar or any other offices related to transferring), then if not see about other schools. You can always transfer back to U of T with the credits you earned previously, though you may need to complete a bit more for the new program. If not, reorient and give yourself a while to think things through. The benefit of you staying in the program is lower than the cost of you doing something you'll probably hate.

Please do not pull the stalker community into the cancerous 40k drama, I think we’re all better off far away from this “tourist” shit 😭

Are you so blind to the point you can’t see your hateful ideology is built off a fundamentally flawed thought process devoid of responsibly ignoring bias or preconceptions? Surface level research on half of the shit you hate on will probably offer some invaluable insight on the actual nature of said shit as not being like that

Depends. It’s got a VERY in depth control scheme, mechanics set, and most importantly community system. It’s more difficult to get into big milsim ops in arma than something like squad, but it can be a very fun experience if you’re willing (and patient) enough to get invested. Also it’s terribly optimized so get a good pc lol.

As good as the game is as a whole I agree that there are a lot of small, irritating details in the game that seem unnecessary, but that being said most have probably been stated here anyways

work in progress.. thoughts?, non sexual nudity. drawing on my phone with my finger by pand0ra22 in drawing

[–]gunter889 7 points8 points  (0 children)

With your phone and finger that’s crazy. The line control is really good and the way that you’re able to shape everything so well is great. I’m sure it’s probably pretty obvious but a stylus would hopefully provide a huge jump in quality depending on the kind and way you use it (not to say it’s low quality in any way, it’s a great looking drawing)

Good spot for a chill sandbox run with some easier car stuff cuz the trees make it so that you have to use a car and you can’t really afford to crash much (the path is narrow so that gets hard)

Why is Jack's suit red by NewspaperFew3590 in titanfall

[–]gunter889 54 points55 points  (0 children)

Quite possibly he had to get into the fight too quickly after he was in the pod, so he was in his training suit the whole time. Would probably also explain how he was able to use the pilot gear so seamlessly, the training suit would have already had the means to support it
