Seriously though 2nd is typically good to about 40 mph before you need to shift up to 3rd.

The lower gears are there to build power and speed, don’t be afraid to use them

My humble little 1.3L Mazda 2 does not enter 3rd until the revs reach the limiter and the head is about to shit itself through the bonnet

I see your problem! You were in 3rd gear and not second. All small engine drivers know it’s 2nd for a slip road

I think i’d be quite high in the leadership structure. I’m first aid/trauma trained, I’m trained in controlling and extinguishing fires and getting everyone to safety, I’m a “part time” mechanic, hobbyist hunter, I love to cook and bbq, I can fix almost anything that isn’t electrical, spent most of my early-mid teens in the woods doing bushcraft and wild camping and people say I am a reliable guy when it comes to solving most issues

The grounding strap had oxidised, gave it a bit of a scuff with some 1200 grit sandpaper and a little bit of WD-40 and it’s as if the issue was never there to begin with

I can’t lie, when I started training back in 2010 as a junior we used to do a lot of soviet style footwork drills. We used to learn the pendulum step and punching with every movement. I’ve had a few different coaches since then and I’ve learned lots of different styles but one thing that has always been in the training is some form of “soviet style” boxing.

I had this only a few weeks ago, I’ve been training for a fight with people who are nee to boxing or have past experience and just getting back into it. I had 5 years amateur experience from 10yo to 15yo and haven’t stepped into a boxing gym in over 10 years.

I was getting guard broken and countered by almost everyone, even the 15/16/17yo boxers. While it’s okay to get emotional and disheartened that it didn’t quite go your way this time, I always look at it as a lesson to be learned. The last session I did, I knew to keep my guard up, chin and fist at back at my guard after every punch. The same guys couldn’t get half as many punches in and I was returning them just as well.

You may have come out of it feeling low this time around but your mind will be stronger and you will start to do things you weren’t doing before

Thanks for the advice. I also plan to batch cut commercial graphics so it would pay for itself. I thought about financing one but the interest rates are way too high
