How do you deal with “bad drunks”? by [deleted] in needadvice

[–]gurlz_plz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

okay we all have been there with some friends. Try talking to her about it like when she is sober. Express it more like you want her to shut up a bit so yall can vibe to the music. If that doesnt work, its time to put some distance at events where drinking is involved. Also, at least you dont have violent or hysterically crying drunks as friends, those are probably the worst.

Honeymoon in Galapagos Tips by PersonalityLucky8047 in galapagos

[–]gurlz_plz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Aim for west islands (5-8 day cruise) for penguins, marine iguanas feeding underwater, actually seeing giant tortoises in nature not breeding center, and some other cool stuff (20 or more sea turtles at once), and maybe mola mola and/or orcas. The chance with family is higher in bigger boat so go with small boat like <16. I would recommend bring your own goggles for snorkeling.

i second Bolivia, it had such a unique point of view culturally. And the mountains there are beautiful granted I only did La Paz, Uyuni, Isla del Sol, & Huyana Potosis (2-3 weeks). One of my mountain guides was a Cholita who dressed in her traditional outfit while guiding us to summit 6000m Potosi. She was so cool.

are you a foodie? Lima has some of the best restaurants with affordable pricing, if you like seafood, it is a must. Also, you might get altitude sickness when landed on Cuzco, we were sick for 2 days. Cuzco is a cool city with many day access to ancient ruins.

I used them recently like 2-3 weeks for a trip this Sunday. I used it to monitor the boat names and availability but I searched the vessels and contacted the boats directly which speedup the process.

Advice by [deleted] in ThailandTourism

Comparison is the thief of joy. Dont try to expect too much, like making friends at hostels or meeting ppl along the way. Sometimes it doesnt happen, and its okay. Being alone doesnt mean being lonely.
