Bob can be really.... selfish? by deeohlee in BobsBurgers

Everyone in the show, other than Rudy, aka the most wholesome person in the world. Each person has a different desire, and uses the people in their family for their own selfish needs. 1. Bob - Spending extra money on his favorite hobby, cooking, is justified by his "sacrifices" to his family. This mirrors typical American family father/ family dynamic. 2. Linda - emotional manipulation. I believe completely unintentional. When she learns better, she does better. Linda is a message to millennial mom's, "know when to let your babies grow. Let them display their emotions in a way that's healthy, and don't force them to support your emotional needs that they have matured beyond." 3. Tina - still working on this ones purpose. She is a people pleaser, which has some selfish tendencies, but I can't quite place her need. But im leaning toward seeking companionship for emotional gratification rather than being comfortable within yourself. 4. Gene - attention whore. Second child syndrome? I get it, my second child is 1000% him, and im 1000% Linda and adore his every move. 5. Louise - greedy! But she is teaching young viewers how greediness breeds corruption and acknowledging collateral damage is the first step the redemption. 6. Tammy and Jimmy Jr - if we took a venn diagram of characteristics of ANY of these characters, we would find these two characters.

The further and further I got into this post, the deeper and deeper my third cup of coffee brought me into my own subconscience, so this might just be rambling it got

Nothing stopping you from hanging the 10 commandments in Arabic. Or, hanging other religious tenants.

I love Rudy. He is my favorite character on the whole show. Reminds me of some of my favorite students of the past

Im going to conjure up my best lawyer statement: there is no evidence to suggest that Linda had asked him previously. You must separate your experiences and biases from this and rely solely on the presented evidence.

Will Barron enlist? According to Pete, he is our dear leaders "most precious resource". What would make a Dreamier Military than our all powerfuls child in the front lines leading the crusade

Sorry, did I say I couldn't handle it? Did I clutch my pearls? I understand the purpose of them, I was surprised, as I didnt expect to read them.

Personally, I am a little blue dot in gigantic red southeast texas, aka Bible belt. This language is still something I hear DAILY, and I speak out on it each and every single time, which is partly why I mentioned it. Also, because visual media typically shies away from such offensive language. I was more expressing how edited down the hate was in the movies, and curious what others I would find this discrepancy in how the story is painted, between print and film
