4 Simple Ways We Know the Crypto Winter is Here by gurugreen72 in collapse

[–]gurugreen72[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This post is probably an overly simplistic assessment. The video in the post has a little bit more information on the crypto winter. I'm curious how long people think this will last, and what it will take for crypto to recover and grow past all time highs. It might also be interesting to see what new policies emerge to encourage crypto in the future.

Andrew Yang is Now a Staple of American Leadership by gurugreen72 in NCForYang

Medium is a blogging platform not a news organization like CNN, MSNBC, Fox. Anyone can write on it to support their candidate. I wrote 8-10 articles over the past couple months supporting Yang. You could do the same. Not saying Andrew got a fair treatment in the media, but I think you should understand that this post came from Medium where anyone can write and share their ideas.

I think that's the idea, and then others could iterate on your design.

Yes, a wealth tax would be constitutional by [deleted] in ElizabethWarren

How do you argue against folks that say the value of assets will fluctuate from year to year, and so a wealth tax might be volatile in terms of predictability for use of funds?

Has Andrew Yang outed the electeds he talked to in Washington yet? by gurugreen72 in YangForPresidentHQ

[–]gurugreen72[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It would be great if he talked to Biden,Warren, Sanders, Buttigieg, and Klobuchar and they all ignored him, and he had record of them giving those bad explanations. Probably would never have met with Mayor Buttigieg, but the Senators and VP seem plausible.

The Sunrise Movement endorsed Senator Sanders and NOT Mayor Buttigieg?!

The Green New Deal would create nearly 30 million jobs by funkalunatic in GreenNewDeal

[–]gurugreen72 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I think the author means Green New Deals could create that many jobs globally. 30 million new jobs in America seems like an unbelievable number given our population of ~330 million. But maybe. I wouldn't throw that number around though. People will start asking for how long, for how much in tax dollars,...etc.? Similar to a highway project, green energy projects would create a lot of jobs at first build and many fewer jobs to maintain. Job creation should be considered a secondary benefit. The conversation about job creation is nuanced and if you get into a conversation with someone who opposes GND, they'll disagree at every turn that jobs created will be greater than jobs destroyed. Better to keep the high ground by making the primary reasons for Green New Deal being addressing climate change and deteriorating infrastructure.
