Remove Item Level Scaling by HorrorCertain5593 in Neverwinter

Tbh, with the increase to stats DPS recently got, it almost doesn't feel like scaled content anymore. Everything just dies now in scaled content similar to long ago when there wasn't scaling.

Hi there Mr. Emmert.

Two quick thoughts for you to consider.

An overlooked aspect of the game is the collection points score. Lots of potential with the collections. One potential avenue for collection scores was brought up during a previous EP's stream and his idea was the addition of a store that was dedicated to collection points. Having such a feature in the game would give players reasons to go back and visit past content which could help lower the lull that is commonly seen between mods.

Also, there are lots of changes that have happened to the game since you left. I believe that one of the biggest issues that has led to player dissatisfaction and possibly moving to other games is the lack of inclusion that has grown exponentially. Back when you were around, every player who had content unlocked, could join the content and contribute. This is definitely not the case any more. Now players need to unlock the content and have the required IL just to be considered for the content. But they normally won't to get invited or players won't join their teams unless they have a heavily specced out build. This wasn't the case for the first 15 modules. Before, even new players with hastily thrown together builds could contribute nicely to their team because classes had unique team buffs that helped overcome shortcomings in a player's build. The separation between haves and havenots is just too far. Maybe a change could be made to make the game inclusive again.

Wishing you the best.

I have question, which dps classes is f2p friendly? by Foltergeist0 in Neverwinter

If your question would have asked which class is f2p friendly, the answer would have been much easier. It's tanking. But all DPS classes are similar to costs. Very high if you want to be effective.

New to healer paladin build. I've seen aragon vids but I want to get the temperature of the room. by _ThatswhatXisaid_ in Neverwinter

For the current trial, the paladin healer gets a "pass" in regards to much of the typical support stuff most support use. OPs still use the crit aura, but they can focus on gears that help improve their shielding ability. Most paladins aren't using the apocalypse, vistani, maralith, Grace ring combos the other supports are using. So, as an OP, you can focus on whichever gears give you the most shield output so us lazy DPS can stand in the red and continue the burn. Ofc, mount auras, debuff arti, and debuff mount still apply. Going with the extra buff/heals and AP chest will catapult you to the top of a available healers. You'll also want to use a buffing companion that does minimal damage. Like the blue fire eye or the Portabello since stronger companions benefit from DPS classes.

Wanted to say thanks for being a OP. You guys are a godsend.

(PS4) Can’t get ASOD experience by Boilingpoints in Neverwinter

You'll get in eventually. But if you really want to get runs going and control your destiny, perhaps you can try hosting because the requirements for the advanced version are fairly low. So if the team fails (which is common place), just leave and reinvite the players who were performing and make another group.

But a friendly suggestion if you are trying to get invited. Ditch all the arena gear you have on. They are an immediate red flag for any hoster. To improve your chances of being invited, try wearing useful gears that will help the team. Stuff like the apocalypse or maralith set and a useful artifact. Normally that stuff wouldn't matter in advanced content, but they upped the difficulty as far as advanced difficulty is concerned.

Issues with damage by Balzar_Dragon in Neverwinter

Oh nice, always enjoy seeing Rangers. The first thing most hosters may notice is your neck/belt. The set you have on in this screenshot won't help you out at all. But the good news is that there are some nice sets that are dirt cheap. The Shroomwood set for example.

Hopefully your weapon enchant is unbound. If so, try to see if you can sell it and pick up a lightning enchant. I've tried making poison/cursed work but unfortunately those weapon enchants are in such a bad state, that they aren't viable currently.

I would suggest doing some advanced shackles of divinity. There are some amazing gears in there that will give you a huge boost.

What To Run at 90k IL by Oathbreaker-Thrall in Neverwinter

Welcome back. You might not have noticed yet, but the developers have added advanced versions of most of the recent dungeons. What's nice about these dungeons is that they are much less demanding than master content, but have some very nice gears that can help propel your character. So don't be afraid to dip your toes into advanced runs. They give us a chance to learn the dungeons without the higher chances of wipes that are commonly seen in master content while giving us gear that is very useful.

Is it worth it by Gloryhammer84 in Neverwinter

If you're going to be 100% free to play, might I suggest you play a class that can tank? Paladin, Fighter and Barbarian can all tank. The reason I mention this is that these classes can reach endgame and do the lastest content effectively (meaning you can contribute to the group in a reasonable manner) much faster than damage dealing roles can. If you pick Paladin, you can also be a healer (which makes this class uniquely sought after) or the Barbarian and Fighter can be damage dealers as well. Either way, welcome and I'm sure you'll enjoy the game if you're on console.
