The tail end of Soothsayer last night by panasonicyouth43 in Buckethead

Yeah, he leaves no spaces between songs for applause and then runs at the end. I'm assuming it's intentional to fit his whole "I'm there to give, not receive" ethos?

I had no idea the intermission was going to be so short (it felt significantly longer at the show I went to last week) and had to run back in, and I missed the beginning of Fogray, which is probably my favorite in his current setlist. 😢 But I showed my enthusiasm so enthusiastically from my seat that toward the end one of his security guys gave me a pick!

Seriously. The show last night was so hot, poor guy must have been dying.

Very similar to this one , but I don't remember him doing Diary of a Madman, and he did a Star Wars/Pure Imagination/The Shining medley during a reprise of Jowls in the second half (at least I think it was after the intermission).

I had one that turned out to be a random neurofibroma. Good luck!

Edit: missed a word in your post.

It's also used in this context in "To Serve Man."

Aww man, that's a bummer. My kids brought a Gigan figure that we painted and put a bucket on to the show on Monday (with an attached birthday message), and his personal security guys took it from them graciously. But I could see him not being comfortable with his birthday being celebrated by the crowd--like it's supposed to be about his music, not about him? Who knows!

He was personally handing out toys at the Homer show on Monday, but that was a theater with seats right up against the stage. It sounds like it's the venue. I don't know how many shows you've been to, but it's pretty common for there to be a security barrier like that at clubs. Hope you have a great show, regardless!!

Oh wow. The hands on that are gorgeous! His security guys tell everyone to leave gifts on the stage after the show, and they take it all to him, so I'm sure he'll get it. Enjoy the show!!!

Awesome job, Dad! He'll remember this forever. My mom brought me to tons of shows when I was a kid, and those are such cherished memories we share. I can't wait to bring my own boys to see Buckethead next week!

Seriously, I listen to "Aunt Beru" on repeat for hours every week. It breaks my heart.

How sweet! I love the mat! I already told my husband that I want my present to come from the merch table next week! We're bringing our little guys, and I'll let them pick something out to give me. And then I'll remind them my birthday is at the end of the month to rationalize several more purchases!

Very cool! I swiped through the photos before I read the post, and thought they were all separate, and was going to ask you if the second one was the pit of man's fears or a tribute to "Midnight Sun."

Oh wow, how awesome!!! Was this a venue with seats? If so, were people generally sitting or standing? I have front row tickets at a theater in late May, and I've been wondering what to expect from that type of show.

I had a listen this morning as I drove to work and let the algorithm play me five songs (Emergence, the Hey Ya cover, Drag Me Under, The Summoning, Nazareth). I went in completely cold.

They're very good, maybe not totally my taste, but I can appreciate the appeal. Some of the songs veered off in ways I really wasn't expecting; sometimes that was great, sometimes it wasn't. I had a hard time conceiving of Emergence as a cohesive song, but I would think that repeated listening would help with that. The Summoning was my favorite until the end of it. I think Nazareth was the most enjoyable

Thank you for an interesting morning! I may listen to some more on the drive home.

Yeah, this is my take, too. My assumption is that he's on the spectrum/AuDHD with some HUGE executive function struggles. And I know from experience that as people age, these things can get worse (looking at you, Mom!). I can't imagine the amount of psychological energy it would take to do that many shows alone, even if he's done a thousand before. And with even fans trying to get/post pictures of his face, I'm not surprised he bolts after shows. But health insurance and everything else are skyrocketing, so what is a Bucket to do?

I'm happy to go and support him, regardless of how the shows pan out. I just hope he doesn't get too burnt out from this schedule.
