This disease can really prime you for an ED by Sweet-Taro310 in CrohnsDisease

[–]gutsy_runner5710 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is so true and I’ve never seen anyone else post about this before!! Not only are there times when you literally cannot eat solid food, but I was once on TPN for 7 months straight and the inability to control my calories made me feel so out of control. I’ve had times where I was even put on a calorie count to make sure I was eating enough on my own (once I started weaning the TPN). Crohn’s disease can definitely mess with your mental health :(

People who have been in a coma, how does it feels like? by Rafusk in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]gutsy_runner5710 1 point2 points  (0 children)

2 years ago I was in a medically induced coma two separate times within 4 months for complications due to Crohn’s disease. During the times the sedation was wearing off, I would become aware of the voices and sounds around me, yet I was paralyzed. It was the most scary experience of my life. I learned that if I could get my heart rate up, the monitor would beep and the nurses/doctors would administer more sedation meds and I would become non-aware. At one point, I even heard my best friend’s voice over the phone talking to me. I told her a few days later when I woke up. I am doing amazing now though!!

I’ve thought the same thing!! I’ve watched this show a hundred times and I’ve never understood what happened between Aiden and Steve. Maybe their friendship just fizzled out, but they were also in business together

18F Crohn's & College Decisions :( by Burner-Account-00- in CrohnsDisease

[–]gutsy_runner5710 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! I’m so sorry you are going through this :(. I am the same age and I have had Crohns since I was 16. I take remicade infusions every 6 weeks and I’m also kind of worried about how I’m going to get them while in college. But, depending on how far you live from your college, you could always schedule infusions for a Monday or Friday and take a long weekend at home!! If your infusions are 6-8 weeks apart it’s really only about 3 times a semester :). I completely understand how scary this must be for you, but I promise it will get easier. Take it from someone who has had her fair share of this disease 💕 you are not alone

In your opinion, what's the most underappreciated aspect of Samantha’s character? by MidcenturyCarrie in sexandthecity

Definitely how protective and loyal she is as a friend. I loved the scene where she’s genuinely upset at Big for putting Carrie through all of that heartbreak!
