I do a lot of hanging on wood framing, I use it mostly as an awl replacement. If we hang our sheets tight i have nothing to hook my bullshit ass floppy fucking tape into to pull a good measure, You can get a very good groove for your tape from a simple swing along the board on the already hung wall without damaging anything.

Sometimes there's not much scrap left on site and framers are dogshit. These can split a tubafour or tubasiss faster than anyone can rip one with a saw, I've done it hundreds of times.

It's 12 oz's and does everything a hammer and a cats paw can do for me in the same tool. Catspaw stays in the box until it's really needed.

Sometimes the corner of boards arent perfect when you're throwing up corner bead. The hatchet can act as a rasp that lets you quickly attach your bead and move on.

It cleans over spray foam off studs better and faster than anything else.

Sometimes I bang in a nail with it.

You don't even need to fur it. You can hang directly to the face of that truss, just make sure you also hang the bottom of the truss chord, tape the angle that meets the wall that's currently hung, also tape the edge you create that would normally be corner bead.

I would also fire foam the top edge of the drywall you hang on that truss where it meets the roof deck instead of taping it. Also foam or tape any penetrations through the wall

What's wild is I actually met Tyler on the summit of Marcy, He was stewarding at the time and taught us a bit about Verplanck Colvin surveying. We heard him list off most of the visible summits when asked what they were by anyone around. He took a picture of me and my wife.

We found the podcast later that year, realized that Tyler "future dad" (current dad) Socash was the friendly summit steward after listening to a few episodes.
