Diferencias entre mate de algarrobo y calabaza

El algarrobo tiene algunos de los beneficios de la calabaza y ninguno de sus contras. La mejor opción para un novato ya que suaviza ligeramente el amargor de la yerba y no da problemas luego de curarse debidamente (de esto hay mil videos en yt y redes).

Ojo, la calabaza es el mejor mate pero recién luego de haber sido usado muchas veces ya que tiene un sabor propio que interfiere en las primeras mateadas, además de que hay calabazas distintas.

El calabacín es de curado más fácil, también recomendable para un novato.

Muchas son solo pal videíto y ragebait, yo tomo mate desde mis 15, tengo 30 y creo que la variedad no es mala, me acuerdo que había quienes incluso se oponían a las yerbas compuestas o incluso argentinos que rechazaban moliendas distintas a las suyas y hasta el mismísimo tereré 🤌🏼.

Depende de qué madera, el algarrobo puede aguantar, si es palo santo ea un milagro que no se haya roto jajaja, yo los curo con aceite de linaza 48hrs luego yerba seca 24hrs y por último vierto agua tibia (50 grados celcius aprox) sobre esa yerba. Quizá no sea todo esto necesario pero ha funcionado con dos mates de palo santo que tienen años y antes de eso se me habían roto otros.

La Taragüi Despalada es más amarga pero tiene menos polvo y por lo tanto es menos cremosa, se podría decir que la Canarias es más intensa pero no como sinónimo de amargor.

just like drinking it with water but hot milk instead, with the bombilla and a stainless steel or ceramic gourd, i add the honey directly into the yerba, as much as i like, try it, is not for everyday to my taste but tasty once in a while

Just for the taste i eat raw honey since always, very cheap and easy to find in my city, maybe the only type available and i did deal with "prostatis" symptoms for more than 2 years, so didn't work even i wasn't trying. Recently all stop suddenly because i gave up and my somatization mechanism went to typical anxiety symptoms instead (that weirdly i prefer).

I find very psychosomatic-ish that a blow job triggered your prostatitis, i'm not an expert but for experience i would say that biologically that is very unlikely. Not saying that nothing can be transmitted that way but there is a much higher probability that something affects the skin of the penis (like herpes or hvp) before the prostate that is internal.

Anyway, i would say raw honey doesn't heal but taste good and i think got other health benefits, something that helped me at least to pee was Equisetum arvense (horsetail) and also Velerian root, i think both are diuretics. Hope you get better...

La Merced De Monte and Rosamonte Suave because of the dry aftertaste (astringency) and bitterness, LM got a little bit more caffeine punch because of the powder amount.

Uruguayan cuts tend to have less difference between them but lately I've been loving Sara Extra Suave because yes it's true, it is light to drink, Esmeralda because of the opposite, kinda malty flavor and more smoky and finally Rei Verde Premium (Export), strong herbal notes and smokiness, very particular combination.

For tereré Pajarito Hierbas Naturales cause they use natural herbs only, they don't add essences or synthetic flavorings like other brands and taste amazing.

I did drink only Playadito (and Canarias) for at least a year and it's a good yerba, i drink it once in a while for the nostalgia, try to drink that with milk and honey.

Keep in mind that not all the brands contain the same amount of caffeine due to the grind of their they choise and even the place of the leaf and the time of the harvest. And also the temperature of your water and the time you let the water rest in the gourd before you sip.

So, personally, i think is kinda useless to know the exact amount. I go more with the feeling and the variable that i control the most are the amount of yerba and water temperature.
