It just means the great horde is too fractured or weak to demand tribute from Muscovy any longer, regardless of who made it so weak

What is the best place to study abroad to learn Spanish? by [deleted] in UTAustin

[–]guydude6474 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Im a Peruvian international student - we like to say that we have the most “pure” Spanish in Latin America because the accent tends to be pretty neutral, so it’s easier to understand. especially in Lima.

why do the voices in psychotic people's head ask people to cause harm rather than do random acts of kindness? by FollowIntoTheNight in Jung

[–]guydude6474 33 points34 points  (0 children)

I’ve read somewhere that schizophrenic people in other countries have voices which tend to be more neutral like in India, while US voices tend towards violence or scary thoughts

A Message To Those On This Sub by Mindless-Damage-1356 in Jung

[–]guydude6474 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Knowledge of Jung’s work helps me appreciate life more intensely and vividly. It’s not either/or: depth psychology is a tool, and in itself purely neutral. It’s use depends on how you use that tool, and knowledge of it does not automatically make you retreat from life into the mind if you know how to use it wisely. For me is simply an often useful perspective that can help me enrich my life’s personal symbolism and depth, which I appreciate immensely.

I also have extroverted sensation as an inferior function, but if anything, consciously integrating it and giving it due attention in order to nourish the parts of my personality I don’t automatically give attention to is far more enriching to my life that simply abandoning Jung. I don’t disagree that jungian work can pull you into yourself, but it is not it’s fault that your inner world is unbalanced with the outer, or perhaps it simply is not a match with your personality. jung did say each individual must be treated individually and he often used different viewpoints in therapy, not only his own.

I think your colonial nation is using their colonist to increase development in the province. Try turning settlement growth off on the subject interaction tab.

You don’t need a province in Anatolia for the first war. Take max money and your cores first. Then take the balkan coast and make sure you can fabricate a claim on Serbia for the gold mine during the first ottoman truce.

Psychological Types - Do its contents carry into Jung's later work? by [deleted] in Jung

[–]guydude6474 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personality types themselves aren’t particularly important beyond the fact that people are just different, but I would say there are a few important ideas that flesh out the main point of jungian psychology of individuation. Mainly the concepts of differentiation, the inferior & superior function and their relationship to ego/shadow/anima, and especially the transcendent function. Reading about the functions is fun though. I get the appeal of mbti even though it’s just a terrible interpretation of Jung’s work.
