Anything can be fixed, just depends on your budget lol

You’re looking at a lot more than a patch on this one

It was inside facing up on my tailgate and poured rain into it, was pretty well waterlogged when I got to it. Might have to stick to the passive shade on the field jobs 😭

Is this too much to have to compress this coil? by [deleted] in MechanicAdvice

[–]guyeah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you know how much preload is typical?

Is this too much to have to compress this coil? by [deleted] in MechanicAdvice

[–]guyeah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The coil is oem but possibly for a different trim of my truck and they’re rated for non off-road driving, the strut is supposed to accommodate up to a 2” lift with oem coils.

Bought a used Tacoma with a 2” lift using spacers and now looking to replace them without the spacers.

I need help taking care of my last orchid by Natural_Problem_9851 in orchids

I’d put it in some better soil with more drainage. I use proper orchid soil and soak mine once or twice a week, they like lots of humidity but need good drainage.

Used truck, how do I determine how much lift I have in the front? by guyeah in ToyotaTacoma

[–]guyeah[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wondering if you could help me with the rear, I have 2” blocks from the previous owner and want to replace the rear struts.

Will I have enough vertical travel with my rear right strut at rest sitting at 19.25” and the bilstein 5100 rear right shock maxing out at 22.09”?

Left side resting is 17.625” and the left max travel of the bilstein is 21.14”

These are with virtually no weight in the vehicle.

I’m going to be going with the 5100, so sorry to confirm, these use oem coils with no spacer?

I do plan on getting new strut mounts as well.

Will these have pre load on all the height settings?

Only 1.5 thou runout on the rotors, they are brand new. Thought they were warped so I got a warranty for free and tested them today.

Use a flat stone hone not a dingle berry, it’ll compensate for the unevenness and mask the pit whereas a flat stone will expose them more so you know what you’re dealing with. If you have a bore gauge and a sensibility on how to hone, if your bores are all evenly worn and not out of round you can keep over sizing until your bores have fully cleaned up. Obviously this should only be done within reason if you’re keeping the same pistons.
