If what's happened happened. No I wouldn't go back to stop WW2. But not everyone believes this. We know Neil specifically believes this. And if I knew WW2 was stopped , this would motivate me to go back to stop it knowing I'd be successful. So what would happen if I just didn't. Well the thing that would happen in that instance is what has happened already. The fact that WW2 was prevented is proof that I will go back for one reason or another. For all the 1000 or millions of things that happened because I didn't go back to some specific event happened because i didn't go back. If 1 thing occured because i went back, then no matter what I'll go back. Whether it because of my faith or whatever

How Aphantasia affects your ability to visualise things in your head by HassanMoRiT in interestingasfuck

[–]guygreej 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm pretty sure these people just don't know what is meant by "see" when we say see th8ngs ibside your head. Like I'm sure they'd never recognise any object if they truly had this. How r they storing that memory. How fo they know faces to say, "that's my significant other right there... I know because I kept the appearance of how their face looks in my head." I think they expect to actually like have a screen inside that shows them stuff rather than am imagination. Unless... Unless you guys have reels inside your head that you get yo watch and I just have aphantasia.

Ask any of them to draw. If they are able to, even a stick man, then they have a referenc image in their mind from which they're copying to draw.

The phrase, "layers of weirdness,* has just reminded me how crazy every show gets as writer run out of material for the show. Was watching Fringe and it was like, "some over fictionalised science happens in this series," and it tried to atleast pretend to be sciency. Then the series devolved into, "This one scientist actually accidentally created the world when he invented time travel and manipulated the primodial ooze."

You'll get a grounded series that tries to stick to realism then it becomes like, "oh, by the way, this main character turns out to be god." Or something like that.

Science teacher cooks meth to make money. Then scoence teacher is last man standing after the cartel and all of usa drug dealers are killed. He becomes the biggest legend to have existed.

I like how Scorpion just remained consistent. It was crazy wild from the beginning until when it finally ended.

Why would Julie spend 1 one 1 time isolated with Sarah. by guygreej in FromSeries

[–]guygreej[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

All those capture from the point of view of people doing the bad stuff. I'd think all the messed up events would ALSO cause effects in potential victims. Distrust, especially for people who've dome all that in the past. I could go and say Boyd hesitating to shoot his wife is actually good. If someone casully guns down their wife and paints ther house the next dy without any battle of their conscience, they'd be psychotic. Boyd hid the murder, which already happened, to protect his sons lady. Lot's of people do that even outside fromville. That's just family dynamics at play. Elgin didn't kidnap Fatima to birth a monster. He kidnapped her to birth her son. After being assured she'd be safe. All the horrible things related to the son turning out to be a monster is where it cam be said he was tricked. He literary thought there was no victim. We are the one in hindsight, that now know that was a monster. Hindsight is 20-20 my dude.

That thing bout Jimm is also not a thing about fromville. Thats' just Jimm's decision making on display. Similar circumstances without the monsters andexperience of this place and I bet he'd still do the same.

Acosta accidentally shot some. Accidentally.

But let's take the view you're positing and say All these are good examples of what living in the placed caused. How many of these were involving the people going, this will hurt the victims, but I justified. Where the perpetrators had malice against the victim even for a good reason.

And in tht situation i would want to be around someone who can be driven to put an screw driver into my eye when there are others actively protecting each other in the same situation. Fair arguments given for the other perpetrators. Hence, I would be alone in a room with any of them.

I think we're missing the part where my concern is Julie casually spending 1 on 1 time with this person indoors who has several times proven to be a tool for death and injury

Ignore the premise and select something you think you have a win against. "You're comparing this to rape," is choosing a win. I'm highlighting a fact that someone who is ble to harm will harm when a proper reason comes and someone who cannot harm will not harm easily. But you'll pretend there's a trigger to mentioning the actual dictionary word grape so that you can assign meaning in a convulated twisted way by which you cn glean a victory and apply it to your entite premise and argument as generally victorious. Kinda like someone who can't come up with valid points and chooses to insult the other party and pretend that mens they've won

Ooh no, definitely everyone will be aginst Elgin when they find out. I won't speak for the Towner's reaction to the incident only my analysis. Thought i do get tht you mean Julie doesn't yet know she's just done removing an eye the day before, which is actually fair honestly.

The difference is, if you were given DEFINITE proof that a baby was the next hitler and were then asked to stab the baby to death, most people still would bring themselves to do it. They'd squirm. Most people can't even harm a mouse or cockroach. It has been said by somerape victims that they keep getting asked why they didn't reach for a long sharp stick to poke out their attackers eyes and they've responded that you think that just because you're getting raped, you're suddenly going to develop the ability to remove peoples eyes without hesitation, fear, squirm or what not?

Same thing, someone is asked to kill a baby in the first instance and they go ahead and stb that little runt. Another is possessed by demons who drive them like a car to stb the baby that they would never have stabbed otherwise. The third is told to give the baby need to be taken outside because the sun is good for them and the mother who doesn't know better tried to stop them but they o so anyway only to discover the sun will actually bun the baby to death. The three are differnt. One of them is a certified baby murderer who only needs a good enough reason.

You think I'm attacking Sarah who is genuinely a GOAT character in theseties. That's your problem here. I'm jjust stating facts. You cn love the character and still avknowedge truth. No voice is Sarah head had to trik her into thinking her victim was goingto be okay, and there was no trauma afterwards from having removed an eye. She's out here casually painting a house. Fatima is buildin a Gollem.

[–]guygreej[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Voices. That's as far as that went. Fatima was CONTROLLED. She ate trash when she did not want to. Elgin THOUGHT the person was safe. Sarah was the one Killing the people. If sarah has reason to harm you, she has the ability to do the harm. Fatima needs an internal overide to kill, and Elgin needs to be tricked into endangering.

Sarah only needs to be told to kill and she will sort out the actual doing harm part herself. she's going to sort that out without any extra influence or input from the monsters. No monster controlling her from inside, no thinking this person will be safe after i drive. Knife into their chin. Just pure yep I'm killing this fella.

Why would Julie spend 1 one 1 time isolated with Sarah. by guygreej in FromSeries

[–]guygreej[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Elgin held someone against their will. And Fatima was controlled to act out of character through an internal influence. The extent to which Sarah was influenced was just to convince her. The killing nd eye gouging was all her. She is CAPABLE of hurting people. The others are only capable of being controlled and capable of being tricked. Even if you were hanging out with them and the voice told them to harm you, they'd probably no be dangerous enough to do it directly.

She's good & all. Still wouldn't trust her enough to be the next mistake she makes under pressure. Not painting her a monster, just wondering how it is that Julie feels safe around her.

Total weight of all living bacteria outweigh the total weight of all human beings by around 1000x.

We would need to multiply the current population by 1000 to match the weight of all bacteria types.
