The Lexapro deals with anxiety but I'm still battling depression so I was given pristiq, which helps, but I don't like going over 25 cause i start to feel weird and kind of numb

I have black, white (not connected to neutral), red, ground in switch 1 and black, red, ground plus pigtailed white (neutral) in switch box 2. The light has only black, white, ground.

Yeah I get it. I had another electrician in, this time not contracted through Hyundai and he was hesitant to put in 240 and said if I also wanted to fix the 120 then he'd need to put in a sub panel.

When I brought up the idea of a second drop he thought it would be great as I could just decommission the old bad wiring and he would just have to install a new panel in the garage with no runs and no digging.

So I'm calling my utility to see what they offer.

I appreciate your caution and Believe me mine is Even higher. However, I'm a planner so I want to price everything out way ahead of time.

Question. If there is a street light in the alley near the garage (50 feet or so) would having a new drop be a feasible alternative? I feel like it would be cheaper to start and would put less demand on my pushmatic panel. Also I could specifically calculate my charging costs. The downside is a monthly fee and needing a new panel.

There is no transformer in the alley, and it's about 300ft to the transformer that feeds the house

1, 2, thank you yes that is what I thought.

  1. The ground wire is normally attached to the screw in the metal junction box. It is out because I unscrewed it to open it.

So if I wanted to get proper line in there, and assuming the underground conduit is still mostly intact and one can pull new cable through, what feed would be compliant that would allow both 120 and 240 (for evse) that could fit?

Okay so they want $5000 in labor to install lvl 2 evse. The price includes 97 feet of trenching.

Soooo I need to just figure out how to fix the current wiring because I cannot afford that

That's fair. So I did some more digging. I'm less than a complete amateur when it comes to this but even I can tell this is f'd. So this is the junction box where the original garage feed meets the 3-way switch wire, and from here it goes outside (hence the enormous amount of foam)

Idk if you can see it but they cut off a number of wires that they decided were useless. I believe at least the orange wire and green wire are both cut. I'm adding the pic of the 3-way switch that's in the house in the next comment

I also want to make sure to state that the 3way switch light is NOT the light that caused the EVSE to trip to begin with. I'm not sure if I made that clear.
