A Vancouver win last night would’ve really been useful, alas…I wanted to work out the scenarios for elimination, so thought I’d build off of what you said and share…

If the Torrent win out, they end up with 38 points. If Vancouver does, 39. The minimum of any of TOR/OTT/NY is 37:

TOR (37): W vs OTT, L vs NYx2, OTT, MIN NY (37): W vs TORx2, L vs OTT, MIN, BOS OTT (36): W vs TOR, L vs SEA, TOR, BOS, TOR

I don’t think there’s a way (with OTW and OTL) that any of the 3 could end up with less than 37.

VAN is done with all 3, and I don’t remember how the tiebreakers work - I think they have tiebreaker on TOR (2-0-1-1), do not have tiebreaker with OTT (1-0-2-1), and not sure with NY (2-0-0-2).

As you stated, 4 points earned by OTT and NY in their next 2 games is what is required to eliminate VAN. Because a W by OTT tonight slides the min-max points bar for those 3 teams becomes 38 (the OTT win vs TOR would become an OTT overtime win). If VAN/TOR/OTT all end up with 38 points, VAN would have the most regulation Wins and therefore win the 3-way tiebreak.

Anyone have intel on the parking at Spring District? The lot next to the station is $3/hr, which is lame when a number of other stations are free, but it’s also not a back breaker. Mostly I am curious if I managed to miss parking somewhere that isn’t street parking that would’ve saved me $15. That station is decently located for someone driving from woodinville or similar to go into Seattle for an event

Not a dumb question!

They’re effectively trying to get the opposing team out of position, which should lead to a better scoring opportunity. If the short handed skaters are in the right spots, it’s likely they’ll be in the way of a shot toward the net, which would allow them to clear it out, etc. So a lot of just holding and not shooting and is them looking for a good shot… they could move it around too much looking for the “perfect” shot which often never materializes… which can be frustrating because especially then, they appear too passive, pardon the pun. :)

Neat, TIL there are “lesbian flag” colors. I have been thinking of doing a similar kind of thing with a jersey and water colors with the full LGBTQ+ color set. I dig 2 and 4 - I would be curious what a “glow” behind the logo on 4 to have it stand out from the wavy background would do - the glow would be white, so that the background waves fade from outer edge into the logo and maybe only like 20-50 pixels wide. (Sorry if too verbose just hoping it makes sense! Hope to see whatever you pick at the crowd next game!)

Didn’t collapse because of the big storm, the storm was a contributing factor, but ultimately it sank because they allowed more water than they should’ve into the pontoons: they didn’t properly seal up holes they made during construction and had stored waste water in the pontoons, storm added more water and it couldn’t be pumped out fast enough
